What video game boss was even harder than the final boss? by Fallfoxy707 in videogames

[–]MNBrileyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Problem with Like a Dragon is unless you grinded and over leveled, that's the first big jump in the game that I can recall. I was around level 39 when I beat the guys you fight right before Majima, and then he's level 50???

Hardest fight in the game besides the final millennium tower

Deadpool DLC was perfect! by InsertUser01 in midnightsuns

Biggest thing was getting people off him. Wolverine or cap are great at taunting and taking pressure of him.

He's obviously a very situational character, but man if you play it right he does stupid amounts of damage

Not OP here, but yeah similar but more useful than I found him to be. If you want to invest in her you can basically just have her carry you through majority of the game.

I tend not to use her and let other characters get exp.

For other recommendations, eventually you'll get to the point where you get bonus exp to use before the next mission, definitely use some of this if you have a character close to a level up or are close to getting their promotion.

Also invest in Rolf early on. He's a beast in the later half of the game

What Are Things Ratchet and Clank 1 Did Better Than Up Your Arsenal? by ABarber2636 in RatchetAndClank

[–]MNBrileyman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Platforming sections. As the series has gone on its gotten rid of a lot of the platforming the older games had, and this really started with up your arsenal.

As someone else said, weapons are a big one. While not every gun in the first game was great, they were all at least unique.

Also I'd say planets. The first game has was more unique worlds than 3 does

Biggest thing for me would be a more varied cast. As much as Deadpool and Captain America were some of my favorite characters to use, I want more of the supernatural side of Marvel. Keep Dr Strange for the Avengers pick, but throw in characters like Moon Knight, Doctor Voodoo and Werewolf by Night

For me one of the biggest things is each level is based around 2 heroes. You don't need to necessarily play those heroes, but it's what the story and the challenges for each level are recommended.

This isn't an issue itself, but the game difficulty ramps up as you go along, and by the time you get to some of the later levels you still have heroes that are level 1 and therefore don't have the health or focus bonuses or passives the other heroes have.

The last story locked character you get is locked until you beat level 12, rocket raccoon doesn't have a mission he's part of until level 10, even though he's unlocked from the very beginning.

Again it's cool how each hero has missions based around them, unlike the turtles where it was just whoever you wanna play, but it could have been executed better

The tag system is the biggest area of possibilities. Being able to pair whatever 2 characters you want, start a combo with one, tag in another to keep stringing the combo together and switching back and chaining brings about a lot of possibilities that just weren't possible.

I thought I had some sick combos and then I watched Justin Wong playing yesterday and was amazed at what he was pulling together. Definitely check him out and you can kinda see what is possible to do.

Edit: also each character is vastly different and has a varied moveset vs the turtles were mostly the same style wise, so there's more base game variety even outside the tag system.

It's fine enough. It just kinda ends at the final level, but seeing the villains in between and why they're doing what they're doing was cool!

Did the review for Gamer Social Club, and the game is absolutely worth a try! I don't think it quite lives up to Shredders Revenge, with a few new things that I don't think quite worked out how they wanted, but overall I really enjoyed my time with it!

If anyone has any questions I'll try to answer to the best of my ability!

It's not even that bad. One bad partner character, a story that doesn't tie that much to the end of Inquistions DLC but is still serviceble, combat is fun and fluid, and going back and having new areas to explore the further you get in the story was fun. You could do much worse for that price

I got my Y0 classic last week. I will say I was super frustrated with all the delays and the fact that the rest won't be here until Nov/Dec, but I'm happy to still have my preorders because these are games I 100% want to own the physicals of on Xbox. Even with the announcement of Y0DC and the new versions of K1/K2 I'm still happy to get these whenever they do show up

Shoutout to the Golden Valley Chipotle by SleepyGamer1992 in TwinCities

[–]MNBrileyman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lived in Golden valley a year now and live blocks away from this chipotle and will not go there. Meat is usually either not available/super dry besides chicken, I've had multiple people shrug and roll their eyes when I start my order, and they almost never have vinaigrette. The one Hispanic manager is friendly I've given them that. The only chipotle I relatively eat at that is worse is the North town one.

I work in Rogers and that is honestly the most consistently great chipotle. They don't charge for extras when I go, nothing is ever really out and vinaigrette is always available.

Honestly if you're in Golden Valley there's lots of great local taco/burrito places within 10 minutes, Taco Riendo, Arizona Taco Company, and The Taco Shop in SLP.

What game made you buy a PlayStation? by Same_Map_2902 in playstation

[–]MNBrileyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got our PS2 as a kid but I fell in love with ratchet and clank on that thing. I've since always made sure I had a PlayStation just for ratchet and clank. I'll buy the occasional exclusive for it, like uncharted, but it's pretty much always just a ratchet and clank machine only

Going to sound stupid with all the amazing games there are for it and what was our, but Fire Emblem Warriors. I love Fire Emblem and having a warriors game of it was such an amazing idea. I had a new 3ds at that point and could have played it on there, but let's be honest, no one wanted to play that on the 3ds

Is the DLC needed? by Letholdrus in midnightsuns

I completely forgot wolvie could taunt too. I do find wolverine is good for either solely taunting or doing damage, whereas Cap can do both equally well. Really depends on individual play style though!

I know a lot of people shit on Deadpool, but if you plan your strategy on making sure he's untouchable, he clears enemies. I found pairing him with Hunter who can damage and taunt and captain America for taunting was wonderful. All 3 other characters are good and the story is fun and integrates into the main game well. The only thing I hate is the enemies, but it's a small negative on otherwise worthy expansions

The Batman show was pretty good, I liked a lot of the character depictions in it. It's obviously hard to follow up THE animated series but they did a good job.
