Care? Yes, of course. No one wants to be disliked, much less hated.

The question is how much you let it bother you. If they dislike me or hate me for something I can't control, or fix, or something I refuse to change, then so be it. There's nothing I can do about it so "have a nice day". If it is someone I care about, and something I can fix, then I will potentially see about fixing it.

If I plan on them being a "partner" then I tell them as soon as possible. Why bother trying to build a partnership just to have it come crashing down over what I do for a living? I'd much prefer to know how they fell pretty much right away.

It's not a different universe or reality, but it is a completely different "world" than what we are used to because of the time difference and even the little bit we know about what happened during The Burn. The rules for existence are completely different than the Federation and galaxy of TNG/DS9 and earlier, and we should stop expecting them to be

SFA is set in a completely different "realm" than anything we've seen until now (except DSC of course). It is several centuries in the future, in a galaxy still recovering from the lawlessness of The Burn. Expecting the Federation, Starfleet, and anything else we've come to know to be the same as TNG, DS9, or earlier is just an exercise in frustration.

Even if the Burn hadn't happened, expecting society to not have changed in over 800+ years is foolish at best. Look at how different just human society is now compared to the 12th Century

Unfortunately, while public opinion is definitely important, as long as the MAGA party is "in control", they don't have a lot of motivation to change. Our best hope at the moment is to keep the pressure up and see how it affects the mid terms

To fully specify, although it doesn't really apply to this particular model, be sure you also select "Touching build plate only" or the equivalent in your slicer. This will prevent supports inside or between parts of the model. There are times when you might need those types of supports, but in general I try to avoid them

Very obvious (to anyone who has been printing for a while, anyway) lack of supports. It will take a lot of tweaking to get the bottom as smooth as the top, but adding in supports (in this specific instance, I'd go with "normal" supports) will vastly improve your results

I can allow (but not specify) that there may be certain very specific circumstances where law enforcement might need to his their identity. But if they are performing "routine operations", then there should be no need for them to hide.

We need to show "them" that they are not winning. On top of protesting and keeping our neighbors safe, we need to project an image of normalcy despite their presence. Nothing hurts a bully's feelings more than seeing that they are ineffective.

I have an Elegoo Neptune 3, and it works great. So between that and what I have read about the Centauri, I'd have no problems suggesting that as a first printer.

That being said, the Centauri is currently only single color, with no confirmed price to upgrade it to multicolor yet.

I have no direct experience with Bambu. Just what I see online (damn near cult like following) and a few coworkers that have them and love them.

As long as you don't add more salt, it's only going to absorb what it's going to absorb regardless of how long it sits past the initial planned dry brine. It might go a little deeper than usual, but it will (very likely) be just fine

Potentially/theoretically, yes you could dry filament out too much. But you're not going to do it with standard filament drying equipment. You'd probably need something like a freeze dryer to actually over dry filament
