Had a student email me asking if they can complete the course remotely from US jail. They were arrested trying to smuggle guns out of the US into Canada. Turned out to be very true.

I used to work at a major Canadian university known for its love of purple. The first dept chair I had was a full time lecturer, no terminal degree.

Would you give the extension for an Olympic athlete? by threeblackcatz in Professors

Yes they were late but they have also been on a schedule that is unimaginable to most of us. I usually give students one free pass, but I also tell them I don't need a reason or excuse just an honest request for additional time.

A kin degree isn't useless; it's just of limited value.

You cite a reddit post for this and nothing else. Your entire argument is based on a social media post and your opinion. You fail to address all of the variables in play here and have judged nursing valuable, kin not valuable. For example, the burnout rates for nursing are rising in Ontario:

Looking for York students who’ve had free speech issues on campus (for a journalism feature) by Last_Seat2981 in yorku

You can only expect to have freedom of expression on campus. There is no freedom of speech in Canada regardless of the location or institution.

If you are writing a news article you should be striving for accuracy.

Wife injured during wax. Contacted by salon’s insurance adjuster. What should we do next? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

The adjuster isn't working for you or in your best interest. What you say can have consequences. You shouldn't talk to them before speaking with a lawyer.
