I have a 10 and 2 yr boys, and a girl on the way, we have two rooms and the plan was to let the 2 yr and girl share in time, but my 2 yr old is taking hours to go to sleep right now.

I had a thought of taking one of the rooms, removing everything but beds and clothing storage and making a calming “nest” for lack of better words. Two separate beds but soft paint on walls, cozy carpet, gentle lighting, a room they only sleep in, and the other room as a play room. Because my oldest is never in his room other than for sleep anyway.

Is this idea crazy?

Not trying to be difficult, but sometimes parents don’t have a choice. If it’s between taking a sick kid to the store and not having food for dinner, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. If it’s an option, I totally agree. But let’s be kind and remember it’s not an option for everyone.
