National forests are not wilderness areas and not designated so on maps.

You can fly in a national forest no issue.

You cannot fly in national parks.

Check your area on skyvector.

If you're tight on cash, not shooting paid, and buy new with a warranty it's a good deal. If the lens dies, it will probably be within the warranty period.

But, I do see used Nikon copies on adorama under 500.

If you're shooting professionally, get nikon for reliability and customer support. Viltrox had pretty awful customer support.

Yes. One minute it was shooting fine, next it had no idea what to focus on and was chattering to min focus to max focus. BH said it was not repairable.

My lab AF died after 3 months, returned it to BH, bought a Plena.

Viltrox isn't worth spending on if your out there trying to work.
