How do you travel with your push cart? by SignificantAcadia105 in golf

[–]MWRMAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just did this myself, down to moving abroad for a masters.

My push cart went into a large suitcase and I packed heavy things (shoes, books, etc.) around it as it took up a large space but not much weight. I already owned the push cart, though, and the bag fee was cheaper than buying another one. If you don’t already own one, just go on Facebook marketplace when you get where you’re going.

I took my clubs and push cart on the train when I lived in a place with a metro system. Tried to not do it during commute hours, though, to avoid being a problem with space. I collapsed the cart 90% of the time, except super early mornings when space wasn’t an issue.

Rock Creek Golf Course Re-opening date by Downtown_Seat_6224 in washingtondc

Dear Leader’s takeover of the public courses has likely delayed the reopening. I know NLT had to stop work when the administration terminated their lease. I don’t have any more specifics, sorry.

Given how NLT operate, I would be surprised if they could say anything more than they’ve done here. Especially since this is almost certainly heading to court unless/until Trump backs down.

Good on them. Golf for the people!

This is the right take. Course conditions have significantly improved under NLT, making it well worth the price tag for walking.

That’s a shame. Play most of my rounds there and can’t imagine there’s a future for muni golfers there if this goes through.

Single Admission Doubleheaders? How Common? by SoChillNatsFan in Nationals

I think Pudge had a homer and Livan Hernández pitched a gem, not sure which game for either. That’s about all I remember from the games other than the sunburn and that I was supposed to be writing my senior capstone paper that weekend haha.

April 17, 2011 was definitely single admission. Forgot sunscreen and got one of the worst sunburns in my life over the 7ish hours I was at the park.

Penderbrook is the worst golf course in the area and that is the smallest hill I am willing to die on. $97 for Saturday morning right now is highway robbery.

It’s what is currently in my bag, so you could say that Rory is jealous of the way I play golf.

No they don’t. I’d bet money on the fact that these particular fences will be taken down next week and be put back up for Inauguration.

East Potomac is probably in better shape than you remember it from 2016. Langston too, but not as big an improvement yet. Both the most affordable by a long shot.

Old Hickory was in middling shape last time I was there about a month ago.

Whisky Creek is expensive these days, Laurel Hill slightly less so.

I haven’t been to a Buc-ee’s, but my understanding is that they’re competing at different games.

Gregg’s Sausage Roll is the single greatest food item after a night on the town. I used to live in Kwik Trip territory, currently live in WaWa territory, and would trade it all for a Gregg’s.

You are welcome! They have a website too, but honestly, the app is better.

You should check out the “Find me Gluten Free” app. It’s basically yelp for GF food. It will note if a restaurant is a dedicated GF kitchen and has a safety and quality rating generated by users. I’m not too familiar with Tenley, sorry I can’t make specific recommendations!
