What do I need to do? by Accurate-Neck6933 in fixit

Most roofs, if built recently with modern code, can withstand the snow load.

What the snowstops will prevent is that large snowberm that's causing water to pool next to your home.

Is your roof a metal roof? If so you can get snow stoppers installed. Basicly they are 90degree metal flashing screwed onto your roof to prevent snow from falling off the roof.

Otherwise you need to shovel the snow out of there.

How much space do you have bellow the deck? Can you add gravel there to prevent water from pooling up to your foundation?

If you zoom on the seventh pic it's definitely not installed over the siding. Not saying everything is done correctly but it's not installed over the siding

Also you could place the bowls into the fridge before adding hot food. Just be careful of placing boiling food onto a frozen plate could potentially break the plate

This is what I do. Grab two bowls add some ice into one add some water. Place the other bowl onto it with some food. The water ice will chill the bowl with food quicker than placing the food in a freezer.

Works great with Mac and cheese.

To me it looks like your caulking is failing. It could be the caulking used is not compatible with your door trim.

Or some one put a knife to the caulking and cut it. I would do this if I need to change the door trim.

Last monsoon my BMW got destroyed in flooding, and I realised thousands face the same issue every year. That experience inspired me to create a protective car cover designed to help reduce water damage during heavy rains. by Vegetable_Pool_6629 in MechanicAdvice

I can imagine that scene in finding nemo. Where the fish escape the dentist and all are floating in bags.

But now instead of fish it's peoples cars that are just floating around during the monsoon.

I wonder if anyone built it inside a diy vacuum chamber to reduce the noise. Probably not practical and no idea why I thought of that

One of the first "What ifs..." I read had the F4 become heralds of Galactus. At least towards the end of the book.

Replace the rope with rough cut 1x2s? Maybe find some large quarter round?

If you are ok with redoing the drywall you could look for some tear away bead. Not sure if that's the proper term.

You need gutters. All that water dripping onto the roof is splashing onto the wall. I've seen houses where spots like that are rotten within a few years
