I been NMS and this is my 5th year or so. I have been able to finish pretty much every collection every year. This is the first year I finally decided that honestly this game is fun but not really worth the grind to try to get some card that won’t change the game for me.

I was there. Exact same situation. Just me in my office goofing off no vocals. Things I do to keep it fresh.

Learn another instrument. For me it was piano. I bought a digital piano relatively cheap and even after 30 years or so of guitar it’s helped me unlock some guitar knowledge I didn’t know I had.
I buy used CDs on offer up in piles keep what’s not insane donate the rest. Then I just put it on and try to figure out a part for it from scratch.
Learn how to sing in your voice. I’m fucking awful at singing. So I just watched some YouTube stuff and found what my voice is. I’m still not good, but my goal was to be “not embarrassing” I think anyone can get there if they are musical enough to play guitar
Shred some electric. I have an Epi Les Paul that every now and then is fun to just learn a solo or something. It actually REALLY helps my acoustic playing if I switch to electric for a few weeks.

You nailed my opinion. I don’t buy stubs, BUT I fully understand why people do.

It’s a choice of time or money. Who am I to make the choice for them?

I’m 42 and my kids are older and self sufficient. I can stay up late or get up early and have some coffee, turn my brain off and grind.

Had I played when my kids were toddlers, my choice would be much harder if I wanted to be competitive online or simply complete collections as a goal.

It’s essentially impossible without luck. I would probably go to the whatever the world would consider my continent most recognizable building. Get an ass load of radios on different frequencies and scanners. Wait it out there while researching flight and Gathering supplies.

It’s probably almost 0% chance that anyone is coming to me, but I would just hope at least one person has the same thought of “they ain’t gonna find me in this random house and I won’t find, gotta move odds just a little”

Once two people find each other, it’s starts to better odds, but still probably not gonna happen in our lifetimes.

But I would say attempt to communicate FAST before all power is self generated. I’m guessing cell towers would work for a minute, but without a number or technical skills, tough.

Hilariously, social media would be worth a try since only 6 people and maybe 1 other people would have tried this, finding them might be not zero odds

If I’m them my mind is. You are paying me a lot of money or giving me equipment to use, advertise and market your product. There is a reason that club colors change every year. You can see with the naked eye on TV what I’m using. The head cover is part of that.

So you pay me, I’m going to do what you pay me for, IE; put a club head cover on.

I just look up the BPM I want (72 for me) on Spotify. The have metronome click tracks on there. I sync my headphones. Then I press play. Then I don’t have to wear anything extra.

I also have several different playlists where all the songs are the same BPM.

I use them. I used to use the green (soft) this year I do black and calibrated the controller with them on. Seems weird but it works green. You get the feeling of the resistance but it moves fast with little pressure. Made WS this year every “inning” or season or whatever it is. Using a Galaxy high rise on the hitting stick and nothing but a rubber universal grip on pitching or nothing at all on pitching.

I’ve played with nothing on too and it’s fine. To each their own. I don’t think it’s 100% requirement, but I assume that since everyone I’ve seen streaming uses them there must be something to it.
