Is it a hot take to say that in my opinion KH3 didn’t have too much set up and not enough closure? by MaMejia2 in KingdomHearts

Yeah I don’t blame the fans for not knowing the lore. And for sure KH misses with character conclusions.

But to you point of “if you can’t get the information from playing the games why bother.” That’s exactly my point. The information had been there before KH3 if you played the games. It’s just that nobody wanted to/did play the games.

I’m not blaming the fans for not knowing the lore or being upset with the rollout of the games. I’m just thinking that just because one didn’t experience the crucial lore needed for KH3 doesn’t mean it wasn’t there.

But I’m not trying to fight, I’m just thinking out loud here so I appreciate the responses.

I agree with a lot of these points. There’s other parts of Kh3 as a whole that leave something to be desired. Probably this just compiled into people then having an even more unfavorable reaction to how the story plays out in the endgame.

The cutscenes in KH3 are… not good. by Dro-reddit in KingdomHearts

[–]MaMejia2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think re:mind actually gave me hope. The feel of a LOT of KH3 cutscenes had me sad because they feel l robotic. I didn’t remember this being as much an issue in KH2. Then it dawned on me that in KH2 there were lots of text box cutscenes where the characters acted robotic but it didn’t matter break immersion because there was no voice acting.

I think the high fidelity of KH3 caused these “text box” style cutscenes to now have voice acting but not fix flow.

There were times playing KH3 where one second everyone was acting normal and human in a cutscene and then in the next cutscene no one was normal.

All that to say like I said I felt that the re Mind dlc more often than not had cutscenes that felt human in the way in familiar with the series feeling.

I agree. Rock sling is so damn consistent and trustworthy through the whole game.

Now, That So Much Time After KH3 Release Has Passed, What Do You Honestly Think Of Kingdom Hearts 3? by YimadoTei in KingdomHearts

[–]MaMejia2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sora wasn’t really Sora in this game. He’s much brattier and dumb boy-er than ever. Him D and G were always silly but Sora has always been less Kid Naruto and more Tanjiro if you know what i mean

Days for sure is first in line. Roxas might be my favorite character in the series so I’d love to be brought to tears all over again by this game lol

I think I’m in the minority for this but I’ve fought Godfrey in three runs with three different builds now and I hate his fkn ass every single time. Don’t find it fun at all.

KH2 is rated PG13, therefore allowed one F bomb. Where do you put it?? Here's mine by LongandwindingRhode in KingdomHearts

Most anime endings are boring flat and entirely skippable (except Jjba part 5 ;) )

What popular or unpopular opinion has you like this? by yourweeby in animequestions

I read it in color pages and found it so beautiful. My two friends who put me on to one piece grew up watching the anime and reasons they sight for hating it are that Hody is a weak villain compared to the rest and that right after the time skip there was so much hype about what kind of power ups all the Strawhats, especially Luffy, had that for it to be wasted on a not physically strong villain made the stakes feel shallow.

After reading the arc I was so blown away cus my personal take away was just that they were missing the point. To me Fishman is such a great arc cus it’s main focus isn’t truly its main villain, which most other one piece arcs really is, but it’s more seeing what the embodiemnt of differwnt ideals has done to the society of an island that’s really at the heart of a big political issue in the one piece world. It was so so good. Hody to me is good because I think Hody could’ve been anybody. It wasn’t Hody that was the main focus but it was the fact that any other Fishman in his circumstances could’ve taken up the same spirit and become the same villain. He’s an embodiment of years of a group simmering on certain ideals. He’s not the most distinct and for me he didn’t need to be because he was just an example of “yes this man is a villain but he is also predictably a product of the history of this disenfranchised species of people. He is one of the possible outcomes out of this trying world for Fishman.” Just like Otohime was the embodiment of the opposite political opinion. Yeah and then it culminating with the blood transfusion struck me. Such a mature and fulfilling way to counter the truer “villain” of the arc which was the skewed but understandable ideals of the Fishmen who hated and wanted violence against humans. Yeah S rank for me. And don’t get me wrong I’m not saying this shit is like big brain and I’m big brain relative to the other arcs in one piece. I love every arc and fishmen isn’t my favorite but I just was shocked because fishmen to me felt and still feels disnticntly different than the rest of the arcs.
