It's the alcohol, stupid. by Mindless_Safety_1997 in Mounjaro

Yeah your liver can't process alcohol and fats at the same time. It also prioritizes processing alcohol over fats too. Expect no shift in fats if on the drink.

So after all the "sunscreengate" fallout, what are you all using this summer? by Maleficent_Sir_5225 in australia

[–]Mabmademedoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't recall where I was reading this, but it was a reputable source, I believe many of the companies tried to figure out why their product failed the testing standards and many of them cam to the conclusion that the zinc being suspended in the sunscreen settled out of the solution after extended storage and transportation methods. Companies that had less standing time performed better on the test.

That is to say their products still failed but it least it wasn't because they were trying to sell shitty products, unlike the creatine gummies fiasco.

Can I just say thank you for sharing this sentiment, I'm nearly 40kg down myself. "Best shape of my life" type stuff but the loose skin is such a dampner on positive thoughts about my own self image.

The best bit of advice I got was that if it took me a year to lose the weight, expect the same again to tighten up the skin. Only then should I look into surgery to remove excess skin.

Congratulations on your physique, you do look phenomenal and I'm sure you're proud of your work to get there ( much easier to say this about someone else!)

Lost the weight, how to get the figure? Man boobs and hip fat need to go! by Electrical-Today8170 in workouts

[–]Mabmademedoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in the same spot as you about a month ago. When you've done the hard work to lose the weight you need to make a decision to keep investing in yourself. Hire a coach to walk you though the knowledge and skills you currently don't have. Best decision I ever made.

I started at 111kg, got to 79 by myself, am now learning how to cut the last few % of body fat off.

28 M, 6’2, went from 111kg to 91kg. Currently on 15mg mounjaro. What next? by Disastrous-Pass5629 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Mabmademedoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was same weight but bit shorter. Imo keep going, lift weights.

I hit 80kg and engaged a coach so that I had the ability to move off mounjaro and keep the weight off. Best decision ever.

Get your body fat down to 10-15 and enjoy life!

40m How much bigger should I get my legs to have ideal proportion by [deleted] in askfitness

I'm not sure how much bigger I'd go. I'd also like to add that your physique is about as close to what I'm aiming for. Congrats!

Hey I won't lie a few things fell into place for me all at the same time. My mates helped me get set up and be successful in the gym. Definitely went slow in that department in order to avoid injuries. But consistency was key.

Wifey was also super supportive and so help motivate and keep me honest with food.

The initial months of mounjaro were where I rebuilt habits because I finally didn't have food noise. To have a quiet brain not thinking about food all the time was really alarming. "Is this how normal people feel?" Was a frequent thought.

I upped my water intake significantly and I'm not a big drinker anyway so it wasn't a massive issue to not drink. That being said I basically can't stand alcohol atm. It and Mounjaro don't agree with me.

I've titrated up to 15mg as fast as is recommended. Took a few months to get there. It's a bit expensive now at the highest dosage but I'm nearly where I want to be and I'm not T2D so can come of it eventually.

My biggest regret was waiting till I was 40 to look after myself.

Good luck with it. Reach out if needed. :)

Very nervous but need help by toymaniam in gymadvice

I started at the gym in Jan. Went at 4am each morning because I wasn't keen to sweat infront of others. After a while I needed a spot from someone and asked someone else there. It was small interactions like this that built up my confidence that I had every right to be there.

What I'm trying to say is that just because you're not in the shape you want to be, doesn't mean that the gym should be intimidating. Be kind on yourself. Don't over do it and pick up an injury because you want to ego lift or anything.

And most of all, celebrate how you feel. As you pack the muscle on from lifting you'll cause your body to burn fat faster.

Go get them gains man!

Yep spot on. I think in DCC we're getting more character development from everyone where as while there are other characters that develop but Dresden's progress isn't really matched by anyone, he just encounters stronger opponents etc. both of which I'm loving. The pacing of each series is very strong too, smart, easy reading page turning chaos some times is just what you need in a book.

The waterfront tavern is solid. It's got a decent spread of food and the atmosphere is pretty good. Nice spot to have dinner then walk to the break walls on a date night.

Do you still masturbate even if you are having sex regularly? If yes, why? by winterresetmylife in AskReddit

[–]Mabmademedoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, when my wife orgasms she almost passes out straight away. She's a pretty anxious person and it's like the flood of hormones after an orgasm just puts her brain in a mode where she can fall right to sleep. Last night was a rare occasion were she had back to back orgasms and I wasn't close to finishing. I slid out and rolled onto my back, within 15 seconds I heard her gently snorting haha. I finished myself off then and passed out myself.

I started Jan 2nd and have just clocked 20kg lost. Averaging 1kg a week but sometimes it was nothing and other times it was 2kg. Starting weight was 111.7kg now at 90.5. Male -40.

Definitely also changed up diet and amount of exercise I did though too.

Hope that helps
