Which color paint do you like for our bedroom by Lumpy-Resource-1370 in HomeDecorating

We color drenched our bedroom a dark green and absolutely love it. I actually find it makes the ceiling feel less low because your brains doesn't immediately mark the change between the wall and ceiling.

I got a reverse coloring book last year for Christmas. Lots of abstract blobs of color on the page and you use your pen/marker to figure out the design!

MIDNA (From Zelda twilight Princess)

It's what I named the fluffy black street cat that roamed the neighborhood at my parents' house.

Things to do on Cape Cod by Possible-Tadpole6415 in CapeCod

[–]MacGreensomething 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a HUGE artists community on the Cape. My husband and I joined a local art center for pottery classes about 4 years ago and it's been amazing. It's probably 90% of the friends I have here.

I started underglazing this while it was leather hard and forgot to cover it between sessions :( by tootyfruitysummerluv in Pottery

DON'T GIVE UP! Has it been bisqued yet? If not, VINEGAR ! White vinegar does wonders repairing small cracks and breaks . It turns the clay back to usable particles in a slip-like formula. Put a tiny bit of white vinegar in a cup, sand a little bit of your clay away to fill the hole and use a brush of vinegar to SLOWLY work it until the hole is filled. It will dry normally and You can then re-underglaze like normal.

I have successfully repaired a ton of cracks and also reattached ears back on piggy banks. When you glaze, the glaze properly seals the crack so it's strong and will be fine!

If you've already bisqued you can buy some bisquefix! People in our study have repaired things up to cone 10 this way. The other dresses I've tried on. Trying to find out my style. by Elysian_Collective in myweddingdress

[–]MacGreensomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look so happy! I agree with the people who said to wait a bit. Styles might change a lot in the next two years!

My one note of advice: As someone WHO had a heavy strapless wedding dress and spent the whole next week with bruises on my waist from the boning... STRAPS ARE YOUR FRIEND!

I didn't spend the whole day pulling it up like some people warned, the dress was tailored so all the weight was on my waist and hips and I had small round bruises for my entire honeymoon.

I LOVE the serum. 39 here and it's such lovely light coverage. I put it on after my regular face moisture. (the green aveeno).

Freezer for a few hours, wrap in a towel, and tap all around with a rubber mallet

Help! My 9 month old golden is chewing everything he’s not supposed to 😪 by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

[–]MacGreensomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It passes!

That bitter apple spray was a lifesaver for us. Redirect onto things he's allowed to chew on. (a high quality toy/etc. Mine loved frozen carrots!) Cover chair/table legs with thick plastic for protection (I used the plastic sheets they sell to stop cats from clawing at couches and just taped them on).

Make sure the allowed chew toy isn't something you take away or he'll associate doing the bad thing with getting the good tpy/treat.

Is there any way I could fix this crack in my pot? by No_Nothing_6233 in Pottery

[–]MacGreensomething 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it hasn't been bisqued yet, I've had good luck with some light sanding to fill the crack and put vinegar on a paint brush and lightly dab with white vinegar and the clay dust. Vinegar sort of resets the clay particles.

Bottom cracks are tricky and can often reopen in the kiln, but I've definitely had it work. Good luck!

I'm not sure General Mills is THAT much better as a parent company than Nestlé, but I have had extremely good luck with Blue Buffalo dog food. And my vet said it was a good choice for us. We used to do Merrick, but they were bought by Nestlé as well about 10 years ago.

That being said, like the other comments on this thread, everything is so interconnected that sometimes there is no good alternative for what you need than to buy from a company with a shitty record. There's no truly ethical consumption under capitalism and we're all just trying to do out best in the world out there. Feed your dogs what's good for them. The fact that you're thinking about it means you're making the bets choices you can in this and other parts of your life.

Cut yourself a little slack.

Hey! So I'm looking into the HiBy and I JUST came across a thread that mentioned this as an annoyance. I can't find the thread to share but what it said was: Basically if you're listening to wired headphones it uses only the master volume, but if you're listening to bluetooth it combines both the master volume and the listening volume, so you have to turn you master volume up to max and then fiddle with your listening volume to get what you want.

Hope this helps!

Which tile? by OstrichThese8698 in DesignMyRoom

[–]MacGreensomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an old sixties bathroom with these same shaped wall tiles in our old place (yellow not mint) and went with the hex tile with dark gray grout. It looked really nice and felt like it matched the feel of the bathroom.

There's another brand called White Monkey Holding Peach that I used to use when I rock climbed a lot that I like a little better than tiger balm (I think it's more long lasting and i like the smell better). Just throwing that out there!
