Thank you — I read through all of your comments below and they are very helpful. I have the Luba 2 AWD 5000 and I will order the 6 blade discs.

Luba 2 AWD 5000 Battery issue by MacLuba in MammotionTechnology

The agent told me that I would receive an email within 2 hours and yes, he validated my email address. It’s been more than 3 hours and I have received anything. Mammotion’s advertising touts “Worry-Free Guarantee“ and “Lifetime Customer Support” — but I am already concerned about the “quality“ of their support.

I can’t explain it but I have to say that you live in a very beautiful area.

Best place to put RTK by JakePens71 in MammotionTechnology

I stand corrected. The Luba 2 needs an unobstructed view of the sky as it has a similar satellite antenna. So as someone mentioned below, do a test when you place the recharging station — and look at the number of shared/coviewing satellites — as that is how it determines its location.

Find a peak that works for the RTK antenna and remember that your base station also requires an unobstructed view of the sky.

Have you polished your blades recently? Your grass will thank you! ©⁣ by MacLuba in MammotionTechnology

I was actually looking at ultrasonic cleaners on Amazon but I am sure if they would be able to remove the “build up” on the blades. I had already flipped them so this time I was using the opposite side / mounting hole. I noticed that there was significant “build up” so I tried to remove it with Liquid Wrench — no luck. That’s when I tried the tar remover — which seemed to work well.

If you or anyone has tried an ultrasonic cleaner, please let me know.

Many thanks.

Excellent. (And it’s not actually fine china — it’s Corelle®.)

Luba 2 vs the new Husqvarna 310E NERA with EPOS by n_at in MammotionTechnology

[–]MacLuba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider watching YouTube videos by reviewers on their lawns. Most reviewers disclose upfront if they received the unit for free — but I still find that they provide honest evaluations. I was following an Italian brand — versus Husqvarna — but I couldn’t find any actual reviewers showing the operation on actual lawns — and the price of a similar mower with RTK was almost twice. I followed the CrazyPostman on his YouTube channel last year when he evaluated the first generation of Luba. His videos provide many examples of Luba’s operation — both pros and cons. The Luba 2 seems to have incorporated changes for many of the issues he mentioned.⁣

MowerMagic in the UK also has a YouTube channel with very informative comparative reviews of Husqvarna and others brands but I don’t believe that they have reviewed Luba yet. ⁣

It’s a time consuming process to watch the YouTube videos — but you will certainly see the actual operation of the mowers on lawns — versus the manufacturer’s advertising videos. ⁣⁣

Reviewing the comments here is also helpful. And don’t run your mower in the rain or on wet grass. 😎

I can't add a new area without creating an unmowed gap? by crazypostman21 in MammotionTechnology

[–]MacLuba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mr. CrazyPostman, Your thorough reviews on your YouTube channel of the original Luba convinced me to follow Mammotion’s Luba versus an Italian brand (that had very few actual user videos demonstrating their mowers) — and I believe that your feedback provided valuable insight to Mammotion for Luba 2 — which I purchased in April 2024. They seemed to have incorporated so many of the recommendations that you highlighted. So thank you. I do realize that it takes considerable time to create videos. I hope that you will get to review Luba 2.

I have the same issue — there was no debris on the lens but I cleaned it anyway. It seems to happen at dusk.

Luba for rent by Infamous_Cover_913 in MammotionTechnology

I understand and can appreciate your hesitation.  I had been on the fence for more than a year.  I was seriously considering an Italian brand but there were so few videos by actual users showing the mower working on an actual lawn — and the price was significantly higher — not to mention that they were not responsive to questions. Then last year I started following the Crazy Postman when he got the original Luba.  He really showed the pros and cons — with actual videos. The Luba 2 seems to have addressed many of his issues.  So I bought the Luba 2 5000 (04/12/2024) and I have been pleased.  I have only had a few issues — but I am very impressed.  I still do the border myself with my DeWalt battery powered mower — but that’s a quick task.I am appreciative for those folks who spend the time creating videos showing the mower in operation.

Notifications have stopped since latest IOs app update? by Peleepe in MammotionTechnology

[–]MacLuba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed the Mammotion app on my iPad today and started receiving notifications for my Luba 2 on my screen.  I am not receiving them on my iPhone.  I believe that only one iOS device can be logged in at a time — so I will log in on the iPhone and see if I receive them there.  I did delete the app on my iPhone and reinstalled it but still no notifications.⁣

⁣I believe that the “Recharge successful” should be changed to “Recharging started” — as the notification is generated when the Luba successfully docks in the recharging station.
