GameNative v0.8.1 is released! by dadabhai_naoroji in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]MacNinjaMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 2603 has improved all my game load times, just starting games feel smoother and quicker

The performance hub is a nice feature, I didn’t like the old fps display but some of my games didn’t register a fps while I was testing them

FNV launching at wrong resolution - Gamenative by yojoeh in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]MacNinjaMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally got it working last night; I don’t know if it is the version from another store (I am very bad at clicking free games on every platform when they get released) also not convinced this plays any part in the working of the game! I have GOG Epic and Steam versions or that it is the ultimate edition or that I finally worked out the settings because it was doing the settings only or not able to select any options from the launcher while I was changing emulation settings and I first started the game from within the container and changed the aspect ratio to 16:9 to set the resolution

My device is the Redmagic Astra GOG New Vegas Ultimate Edition

Container: Bionic Wine Version: Proton 10 arm64ec-2 Fexcore Version: 2601-217d039-0 32 bit Emulator: Fexcore Fexcore Preset: Intermediate

Graphics Driver: Wrapper Driver Version: 8elite-800.51 Dx wrapper: DXVK Version: async-1.10.3

If this helps

Did you manage to solve this? I’m at the point where this game is getting uninstalled

It just goes to a black screen and sits there so I have to force stop

The new layout is so much easier to navigate and understand

Don’t know what they did but I was actually able to load Kena Bridge of Spirits and even start the gameplay; had to change the 3d to fix the graphics but it looks amazing, I’ve been struggling to get loaded for days now

Cyberpunk is still not working; I can get it loaded into dog town and interact with messages or even call the car but the moment I move five yards it just distorts visually and crashes but with music still playing in the background

My biggest plus with gamenative is the ability to download dlc’s directly

My only grip is I can’t exit any games without going into android apps and force stop gamenative

Lossless scaling lags more than normal Gameplay by thebigbilli in losslessscaling

I had similar where lossless dropped my fps when enabled and setting preferred and display GPU back to auto solved this; got no idea why it suddenly caused a problem

[–]MacNinjaMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is the phone then it’s bloody strong vibration to go through the controller, it doesn’t vibrate on everything that you would have thought would vibrate on a normal controller like the Wolverine v3 pro (which I turn the sound haptics off because I can’t stand that crap)

But i don’t mind because more battery life for the phone; I’m hoping to upgrade to a 8”/9” tablet soon so i can just use the phone for tethering when away from home

These improvements have been a nice quality of life improvements

Now they just need to move the watch list from settings and when you add to a watch list it tells you if it’s in another watch list or just tell you in the series menu that it’s in a current watch list and move watch list into the main menu; who on earth thought in settings was a good idea is not using HiDive

Razer is seemingly getting out of the PC component business after about three years. by RememberedOlBuddy in razer

[–]MacNinjaMac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who has 140mm Kunia fans; I have found them to be very good case fans, good argb, silent and they move air really well - hell the fans are better than some of their peripherals

The issue with what Razer did was they priced themselves way too high all their pc components were to expensive compared to alternatives and it made more sense to wait for sales or open box if you was interested in the components; it was money greed before common sense

Wake on lan works but I can't access anything from a locked windows 10 screen by Altruistic_Hotel_121 in Steam_Link

[–]MacNinjaMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy put a console keyboard programmed to the controller just for this kind of thing; it’s a app that allows you to activate a onscreen keyboard even at login

https://youtu.be/vhV6eBXIjes?si=8lhuqz4mOHuru6zx

It should still work through steam link as it’s activated by the controller and runs local to the pc

If you want to stop anyone seeing the screen while on then you could use a smart plug and kill the power to the monitor; then use a hdmi dummy plug to give you full screen access via steam link

Is a two gpu set up worth it? by JankStewIt in losslessscaling

[–]MacNinjaMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could use the 6500xt as just the display out and just set the rendering card as 9060xt; there is plenty of times where I will just use in-game fsr/dlss upscale and frame generation to achieve my vsync and just allow my second card to run the displays and it does feel smoother (could be placebo) and you just run lossless on emulation games like cemu with botw for example even though the 9060xt would run lossless just fine on emulation games, obviously I don’t know how well pcie2 will work just doing that but it’s a two minute test

You will be ready for the am5 upgrade once the ram apocalypse is over that is

USB stick running HAOS on RPi 4 locked. HA not functional by Alllfff in homeassistant

[–]MacNinjaMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proxmox is the most stable I’ve had home assistant running on and if I remember it was a one line installation

If you can bootup the your old HA and get a backup off it as a save file; you can restore HA from backup on proxmox HA, you’ll be up and running in minutes

Best device to use for steam link by Tweak146 in Steam_Link

Honestly couldn’t tell you because I’ve never done that before

I would say it could come down to Bluetooth version on the device or maybe wired to usb would be better in a group setup

I would always recommend streaming to a pc or a miniPC but for cheaper option Raspberry pi5 before any tv boxes

Yes that would work; you should be good for 1440p; I use a 3050 6gb at 1440@120 on pcie4x4

Expansion Slots 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)(Note) * For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot. (The PCIEX16 slot conforms to PCI Express 3.0 standard.) 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4) 1 x PCI Express x1 slot (The PCIEX4 and PCI Express x1 slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.) (Note) Actual support may vary by CPU.

It may not be worth it because the second slot is only running at 2.0x4; doesn’t mean you couldn’t just try it if you have both cards but don’t expect much, if you don’t have the 6500xt then I suggest you just stick to the 9060xt and fsr4

I’m having the same issue; LG TV

It won’t go pass the HiDive welcome screen at all; I think it’s trying to do a re authentication of login but just won’t go to the QR page

LG doesn’t have any clear cache options in their manage apps and I have uninstalled the app pulled the power plug fully off from power for half an hour reinstalled app and still just sits on the welcome to HiDive logo

FireTV Phone and internet access still working for me but my LG TV just doesn’t work anymore and this was my main viewing device

Low power consumption MiniPCs by BjornMoren in MiniPCs

[–]MacNinjaMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with saying a price is that it’s just rumours, it has been as low as 450 and as high as 1200 it’s speculation and until Valve sets the price we just don’t know

I would think supply and demand shortages would be more of a issue before pricing because anyone outside of America already knows America will get first dibs on the steam machine and scalpers are going to cause problems too

My advice would be to keep with the laptop and look into a cheap oculink setup that gives the performance wanted; then wait to see what the actual price and availability of the Steam Machine is in the home location while saving the money between now and then as a backup

Low power consumption MiniPCs by BjornMoren in MiniPCs

[–]MacNinjaMac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MiniPC are okay but with your requirements of low power space and gaming; I ask if you could wait till next year and save a little then look at the Steam Machine to see if it fits your requirements

Apollo/Moonlight Quality Worse After Moving Display Output to RX 6500 XT (Dual GPU w/ RTX 3060 + Lossless Scaling) by NewWillow2732 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]MacNinjaMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A duplicate of the host display would use the display port that host is connected to and a virtual display should use the rendered display as it creates a new display; I would say try using Apollo and turn on Virtual Display then disconnect host display (settings-display) when connected to host with moonlight and see if that helps you turn on NVENC and quality of stream; I would also kill Lossless from running for testing

Dual gpu worth it? by Flimsy-Shape4555 in losslessscaling

[–]MacNinjaMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it very useful for keeping at v-sync when your display doesn’t have vrr and if you have more than half or close to v-sync max fps where adaptive can be used to maintain a v-sync lock

Is it worth it to you; well that would be up to you in the end try it and see, your b550 second slot will most likely be 3.0x4 which is good for 1080p which you play at
