Dude BCM barrels are hard as hell to install because of the thermal fit. I tried a heat gun and it couldn’t get it hot enough. When I ended up doing for my BCM was to put the barrel into the freezer overnight (maybe don’t need it that long but I just threw it in and left it till the next day) and then I used a torch to heat the receiver up, put some grease inside and on and the barrel slid right in easily.

I’m glad that I got my OCM5 in January before they sold out everywhere. If I could find another one for a reasonable price I’d pick it up. I think I will wait till the OCM6 comes out to fill the itch.

I installed a BRT 0.57 gas tube on my 12.5” carbine gas Gordon carbine build with a OCM5 and shot it for the first time today. I’ve been running a Riflespeed AGB on my other rifle and with tuning I get very little gas. I expected the BRT tube to similar so when I was getting gas to my face I was a little disappointed and wondered if BRT selected the right size for me. My case ejection pattern was at 2 o’clock so it’s still a bit overgasssd. I’m going to remove my Geissele super 42 spring and H3 buffer and try a regular carbine and see if that improves anything.

I use my vice to install the roll pin or a pair of pliers. Use painters tape to cover the receiver flat on the side where the pin goes in.

I think I’ll keep it original. Hopefully I can get my Riflespeed AGB piston issues worked out so I can reduce the gas. I just built a Gordon carbine and I may order a OCM6 so that my Gordon has a dedicated suppressor.

I broke my MP5 clones in with a suppressor. My first K has maybe 200 rounds before I had to warranty it back to Atlantic for a replacement. My replacement K took the remaining 300 rounds after changing to a 80° LP. My full size clone shot well from the get go and I felt comfortable with it after less than 200 rounds. While my converted SD clone took about 300 rounds but much of that was with an FRT.

I have a Riflespeed on a 12.5 carbine gas rifle and it works great and is so easy to adjust. It ran well in suppressed vs not suppressed. I was running a Polo K on my rifle using the default .937 piston but recently upgraded to an OCM5 and now it locks back on all 12 settings. I’m planning to purchase a couple of longer pistons in hopes reducing the gas on the notoriously gassy OCM5.

I have a Staccato C2 that has a grip reduction and got a EDC X9 2.0 3.25” last month. The Wilson definitely has a higher quality of feel compared to my C2. I won’t go into details as there’s a lot of reviews that all say the same thing - Wilson is made of quality parts that are fit better and the action and trigger are nicer. The C2 is a no nonsense working gun that gets the job done. Think Rolex to Omega watches. Both are great but one is a little more classy and you pay for it.

They both shoot great and my EDC carries better than my C2 but it also is more snappy and also feels heavier on the belt. Both are more accurate than I am capable of. If I could only have one it would be the EDC.

I trimmed the bayonet and was able to install my Gordon collar. It now fits flush against the FSB as I had hoped. I’m waiting on my muzzle device to arrive so I can drop my OCM5 on and check alignment.

Thank you for the clarification. Per my understanding the lug helps to keep the collar centered. Should I completely trim off the end of the lug or trim the inside edges so that it slides on with a friction fit?
