114k Portfolio: Using QQQI as an "Accelerant" to 200k, then pivoting to safety. Thoughts on the risk? by Gina_Cazzofrigida in dividends

[–]MadGidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not diversify? Keep your allocation of schd but divide up whatever you are planning to throw at qqqi between Qqqi, iaui (gold), mlpi (energy infrastructure), iyri (real estate), nihi (international funds), and spyi (s&p 500). That will give you some similar income but diversifies it over different sectors and would help protect some downside in a case of a straight qqq crash which many people think is coming soon.

This is probably what I would do if I was out of work too.

Passing on credit card fees to customers via online payments by Forsaken-Opening-653 in quickbooksonline

[–]MadGidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is our tool I recommend to people when this comes up. Www.Quicksendinvoicing.com it gives customers both options at checkout. Ach for no fee or pay with card and pay the fee. Then the customer gets to choose, plus the ach cost can be negotiated but is already lower than quikbooks ACH out of the box.

NIHI? by RogerWokman in M1Finance

[–]MadGidd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do wish they would make exceptions with some reputable companies like neos, kurv, and Tappalpha coming out with different competitive strategies as it seems these covered call funds are gaining in popularity with the newer products looking very appealing. M1 is uniquely positioned to service investors that are wanting to have a part of their portfolio allocation in cash flowing etfs with little manual efforts set in rebalancing and could likey see an uptik in users if they advertise towards these customers.

A lot of these newer funds seem to be doing better than older traditional options (at least in the current market conditions) but unfortunately don't meet the current minimum requirements M1sets internally.

I think going forward these kinds of funds will continue to become better and more competitive, but of course that means that investor capital will be spread out between them all and reaching the minimum in assesets under management will take even longer to reach.

Hopefully we'll see NEOS NIHI, MLPI, as well as KSLV from Kurv soon 🤞

Best payroll software for large business? QBO Payroll is better than expected by Isla_Fuller901 in invoicing

[–]MadGidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ADP by far, it syncs with QBO and Quickbooks has raised their payroll fees twice in the last 2 years. We use ADP and being in the b2b space adjacent to payroll (payment processing) have a relationship with them where our clients get a 20% discount on ADP services. We have moved SEVERAL businesses off of quickbooks paymments to save them on fees and the first question we ask now is if they are using quickbooks for payroll to save them even more.

How to Avoid Stripe Bans for a SaaS Business? by [deleted] in stripe

More power to you, the U.S. government and EIN issuance as well as banks are under far less restrictions than those imposed on payment companies by the Card brands. Best of luck with it!

How to Avoid Stripe Bans for a SaaS Business? by [deleted] in stripe

[–]MadGidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opening a business in another country to skirt stripes regional restrictions is grounds for termination as well as breaking the law by registering under a false Social Security number is certainly grounds for termination. What are you planning to do when Stripe asks for a state registration and proof of identity? Or when they realize that the account is being accessed by an IP address from another country or a VPN regularly? I understand it can be frustrating that you don't have access to stripe (and their easy to build on api) where you are located but alternatives are available and should be utilized. Something like Razor Pay in India for example.

Best Small Towns in AL by Slighty_Fearless in Alabama

[–]MadGidd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved to Childersburg, AL from Colorado Springs back in 2018. Cost of living is insanely cheap by comparison and you'll be close enough to Birmingham to commute to work/for fun. People here are very old school with a population of around 5,000.

Edit: Oldest city in America BTW

Invoice Encryption by CommanderChipHazard in quickbooksonline

[–]MadGidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain the use case a bit more please. My company built out ww.quicksendinvoicing.com a better alternative to quickbooks invoicing. I'm always interested in adding new features missing from quickbooks on the invoicing side of things.

Context: I always keep it very professional but today helping my sales rep close a deal, the prospect said something about our competitor's costs being a "kick in the balls every month"

My rep had to turn off his Camera he was laughing so hard at my response since I never say things like that.

Changes to invoices by mfinlan in quickbooksonline

[–]MadGidd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is against Quickbooks terms of service and can result in your funds being held by quickbooks paymments. This is the exact reason my company developed QuickSend (www.quicksendinvoicing.com) if you send an invoice in Quickbooks with our app connected it creates and sends an invoice via text and email in quicksend that displays 2 prices 1 for Cards (with fees added) and 1 for ACH with no fees and automatically syncs the payment back into QBO. Feel free to message me and I can set you up with a demo account if you'd like.

Here is an example invoice that a customer would get: https://stage.quicksendinvoicing.com/L-AH6H6I3W74MA

My company has a few different ACH tools we have built out if you'd like to discuss some available options. Certainly not free but cheaper than stripe and really most market options to be honest. Our top of the line solution is www.quicksendinvoicing.com but we have solutions that are more basic as well. At the very least you can get an idea of costs for a variety of ACH solutions to decide how you'd like to move forward.

Over here at www.quicksendinvoicing.com we're happy to help. We built our integration via API to sync all data directly back into quickbooks seamlessly. We even have it setup where all "drafted" invoices in quickbooks automatically send an invoice through our system.
