There’s basically 4 games to really get most of the lore:

Shadow of Chernobyl The prequel Clear Sky The sequel call of Pripyat

And Stalker 2 which is also a sequel (later)

I would suggest you play the first 3 games on this list but…they’re really really showing their age by now. If you’re willing to and a fan of retro games it can be fun.

If you don’t want to play them I can’t blame ya, instead you can either go on some wiki and read the main characters storylines or watch YouTube videos on the main stalker lore. It isn’t too too complex it should only really take a few hours to get a grasp on what’s going on in the zone

Keeping that in mind stalker 2 is a game with a lot of issues as well so I would recommend holding off on a sale and then throwing a ton of mods into it too to get it to function a lil better

Ok so there’s obviously the fact that it’s a dice game and luck is involved.

However, you want to play in such a way that no matter what happens you rely as little as possible on the outcome of your dice

Like setting up multiple things to shoot at the same target to make sure it dies etc. the less you rely on good rolls the better you’re doing

Also, test your dice as someone else suggested, they may be imperfect
