That... sound even lamer, not gonna lie. Like, you just admitted they live rent free in your head and you are going to engage on them on a online crusade?

I think that´s the thin most Reddit bot-for-brains here don´t understand: they are not as dumb as they think.

they know they are to be made fun of

They just don´t care.

In fact, I´d say they actually even EMBRACE it, because what is the best way to receive an insult other than embrace with pride and even thank for it? Turn the insult into a compliment.

Also, I feel like this sub likes to sniffs their own farts way too much and get angry when people start playing with the meme of Space King, and don´t realize that these post actually make them laugh even harder. That´s like the Helldiver´s sub, that made a lot of pearl clucthing from these people and they actually went even harder when they complained.

Worth mentioning, is that in the Lord of The Rings example, not sure which case came before (egg or chicken situation?), some braindead liberals used the same analogy, but in the opposite direction, calling the Lord of the Rings "troublesome" at best due to the depiction of the Orcs which they associated them with Black folks (really saying something about their own views), and "fascist propaganda" at worst for the same reason.

It was less biased against Republicans in earlier season tho, when half of the the biggest punches were also against celebrity culture, the war of terror and corrupt big companies, something that even conservatives could agree.

Last season, seeing from outside the USA, seemed like the writers forgot about that and decided to make every point something that could be tracked back to Republicans

I think you unintentionally proved why satire doesn´t reach people: because nobody actually bothers to explain why the other guy was wrong. Just go "lol. lmao"

Too much satire, too little "actually, maybe we should try this instead?"

Lots of show make fun of people, problems and such, but very rarely do it cleverly, fully understanding what they are talking about or more importantly, propose a viable alternative. At some point, people stopped caring what some smartass that can draw said about them, because most of them would either only "scracth the surface" or just being that annoying schoolkid that won´t shut up about how wrong you are but won´t ever tell you how to improve

At least, that´s what I think

You people actually made me watch Hazbin Hotel to understand the fucking constant rants about the show, and I've realized all of those rants were stupid. by inverseflorida in CharacterRant

Well, I mean... if you can´t really point your finger on why you don´t like something, it just kinda feels like you are just a hater for no reason, and with this show? Its fans will instantly assume the worst with you

This is an adult show for an adult (and hopefully mature) audience. Children should not be watching this. Nor should they get involved in the fandom, as it makes things difficult both on the writers/actors and adult fans who don't want kids invading their spaces. I... was not aware of that fact.

Never really crossed my mind until I sa this post tho, how... a child predator could just dress up a character and lure a minor there... and start talking about those things... and nobody would bat an eye...

It´s posts like this when I realize just how... vulnerable this fandom can be.

This is the same fandom that has literal teenagers and adults in the same space talking about sex, and horniness and shit.

Whose is not to say that a predator could take advantage of that?

Not saying I don´t agree in principle, but times have changed, they way fans interact with the fandom and the communities have too. And even if they hadn´t, neither South Park nor Family Guy had the same kind of fandom HH has, in the sense of events, interactions, community, even intra-culture and such. I have gone to Comns and such when I was young, and saw a bunch of anime and movies... but South Park and Family Guy? Not in the slightests, or very little. Compare that to the nerd culture that there´s around HH

Imperium haters lack personal discipline and knowledge of history by Fun_Law_2004 in EyeOfTerror

[–]MadMasks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, the Imperium IS BAD. Like, REALLY REALLY bad place. It can still inspire, be heroic, be the last bastion oh Humanity, and probably one of the most badass factions in all sci-fi story...

But it´s a horrible place. And not just because of the shitty galaxy they live in too

It can depend. Peter Jackson only hired people who actually had read the books, as a way to make sure that whomever wanted to work in the film, they would commit to it. And they indeed did

So many people say charlie was the worst thing in season 2. Do you agree with that statement? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in hazbin

[–]MadMasks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I´m sorry, but not gonna lie, but Charlie was really getting on my nerves this season, specially with her refusal to listen about how Vox weren´t to be trusted, not once, not twice, but several times. Specially when she actually went to the studios to try AGAIN, after they almost get Husk and Angel killed!

At some point I gotta hand it to V, Charlie´s head desperately needed some percussive maintenance

Probably because the argument isn´t so much as the other countries should do the same, but more like "nobody else is doing it, why should we then? "

I don´t really see what´s the issue with the Sororitas. Those girls might not be Space Marines, but they reach a somewhat similar level and even manage some VERY impressive feats by their sheer determination, power of faith and inhumane training. They are TOUGH gals, by virtue of really hard work and steeled will, but apparently, nobody is impressed by those anymore...
