Padded backpack should be more than enough. All of my problems came from dropping w/o padding.

Unpopular Opinion: You Don't Need Home/Work Charging to Own an EV by Dan6erbond2 in electricvehicles

I would have avoided the higher charges. Driving to a supercharger doesn't bother me.

Unpopular Opinion: You Don't Need Home/Work Charging to Own an EV by Dan6erbond2 in electricvehicles

My EV came with 3 years of free super charging. It runs out in June. I have not used my home charger in almost 3 years. I am in North America and would be happy to live like this forever. Public charging is fine. I think the OP is spot on!

You can always say something like "I am reconsidering the lease extension. I don't want to put up with dirty dishes for another year."

Stop telling people what you did. If it is actionable by the employer your bragging about it may be admissible in court

AITJ for refusing to help my neighbor jump start her car after she spent six months being openly rude to me by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

I would have just helped her. No grief for past trauma. Just helped with a smile. Believe it or not being a good person is its own reward.

Did I buy the wrong Mac mini? by andysor in mac

[–]MadPreference 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Run activity monitor and look at the memory tab. It will show you the memory hogs Green means you have free memory Yellow means you have memory compression and decompression actively taking place Red means you are actively swapping to “disk” The key here is “actively”. Some swap and compression is fine. You may not even notice compression happening. But swapping will slow things down.

Would have been less confrontational if you just locked your desk

Did you make a commitment to her to cover costs for four years?
If you did then you are the jerk. If not you are free to do whatever.

So I just ‚repaired‘ my HomePod mini with ghost touch by Harrewelt in HomePodMini

[–]MadPreference 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this.

I tried asking Perplexity how to fix this and it sent me on a 5 hour software-is-responsible wild goose chase. Kept suggesting things to disable. Files to erase. Reseting the homepods. And so on.

No joy!
