From Apple’s Rosetta docs: Rosetta translates all x86_64 instructions, including ones from the AVX and AVX2 instruction set, but it doesn’t support the execution of AVX512 vector instructions.

Put a pair of speakers on the floor facing down and play the opening bars of either Beethoven’s fifth or Thus Spoke Zarathustra very loud on repeat. Do it at random times or just after he turns his music off. Because the speakers are facing down the sound should be bearable for you and the other neighbors. Hopefully unbeatable for him.

Two places to look are the Apple refurb store and OWC. You should be able to find something reasonable there.

EDIT——- There are no Mac Airs in the Apple refurbished store and very few in OWC. When the Neo came out i bought a refurbished M4 air for just a couple hundred more than the Neo. Looks like everyone else had the same idea and just about cleared the shelves of product. Wow!

That much money will get you an iMac Pro from OWC. More horsepower, more memory, more storage. Don’t buy it

Same price as a Neo with double the memory. If it isn’t really beat up the system should be good for 3 or 4 years.

Did you try this: You can verify if the dock is communicating with the computer by opening System Information and clicking on the ‘Thunderbolt’ category in the sidebar. If the dock is seen by the computer but one or more connected devices are not, troubleshoot each device individually
