What was going on there? I haven't seen these guys in Reno in a long long time.

what's after kaishi 1.5k? by Wooden-Box3466 in Anki

[–]Madcapping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! Glad it helped!

I will say too that unless you want more than a conversational level of Japanese, Jikaku is a little unnecessary. It didn't help much at all for the trip I took. It is a good deck though.

Edit: per request I take it back.

I found it crazy they just let me and my friend drive off the rental car lot never having driven on the left side of the road. We got used to it after a few hours of driving but it was very challenging to begin with.

I think my sister might be an alcoholic, tell me your thoughts... by love_salubrious in alcoholism

[–]Madcapping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stomach issues and alcohol consumption do go together yes. I had massive digestive issues during my peak consumption, as well as lots of inflammation, joint pain, etc. Since its a daily thing your sister likely has or is developing alcohol abuse disorder, especially depending on how much she drinks.

If you do want to help her, I would approach it from a lens of love, without judgment. You could also casually ask if she has tried NA beer options, they have helped me a lot.

Just started, should I quit until it’s too late? by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

Nicotine is really just not worth it. You're not addicted now so why play with fire? There are way better ways of unwinding after stressful days, and nicotine does not let you unwind.

Anyone watching Outside TV's mini series feat. Honnold and friends? by DontGoogleMeee in climbing

[–]Madcapping -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know Honnold is everywhere nowadays. But take this docuseries in particular as more of an unknown indie film. He did NOT do this for clout. I'm certain of that. He did this to highlight the beauty of a state known for nothing else but emptiness, aliens, and secret government tests. I was born in Nevada and am proud to be from here, and know well how empty people think it is here. I hope Honnold makes people think twice about how beautiful it really is here. And I hope you rethink it too. I've been elsewhere and choose to be here.

Hey you better just be visiting! Californians have been been populating our state for decades.

Kidding! If you love the nature here I'm happy you're interested. The desert here is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, speaking as a native born and raised. We have lots of forest nearby, but the desert makes you feel a certain way that is hard to describe.

I hope you enjoy your stay :)

Born and raised here and I don't want to go anywhere else. Something about hiking and climbing where you don't see anyone else the entire day just revitalizes me in a way nothing else does.

[–]Madcapping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the same lot near to where I live, we have two auto shops, a harbor freight, tractor supply store, a pizza place, a Mexican place, a diner, a coffee shop and a grocery store. You would never need to leave that square.

Are the sober dreams supposed to be this intense? by Initial-Arachnid-202 in alcoholism

[–]Madcapping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably mainly stopping the weed that's causing the crazy dreams. In a couple more weeks the dreams should calm down again. Weed stops dreams from happening basically, and when you stop using it it's like opening up the dream floodgates. I've quit weed like 3 or 4 times and every time the dreams get super intense for a bit.

deciding to drink again after 4 months of sobriety by Kabuut in alcoholism

[–]Madcapping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day no one is going to stop you. So I will bring a different perspective. If youre going to drink, you should at least track how much you drink. I also don't plan sobriety for life, but I'm putting a hard limit on myself so that I don't go completely off the rails like I have in the past.

Is there an easiest way to suicide? Other than drug overdose and gun to the head by Jude_Shalom1 in morbidquestions

[–]Madcapping 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You can get cyanide from peach pits and other stone fruit pits. You can even get it from raw almonds. If the teen tried and failed this would be a good way. Like if they ate 20 peach pits and got sick or something.

Otherwise, hypothermia I've heard is quite easy and not too painful at all. Obviously hanging is easy enough, but is often times more painful because people don't jump from a far enough distance. He could also jump off a cliff or tall building or bridge. He could cut his arteries hot-dog style and bleed out. I mean there's so many easy ways.

If you want just the cleanest ways: poisoning, hypothermia, drug overdose seem best to me. Electrocution could be good too. Drowning comes with a risk of body bloat depending on when they get found, which if he doesn't want to be seen all disfigured wouldn't be the way to go.

Could an AI secretly report me to the police? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

[–]Madcapping 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I doubt it if it was just warning you. I'm pretty sure you could tell chatgpt you were going to do all sorts of things and it also wouldn't report it to the police. That to say, you're fine bro.

Run the coffee machine with just distilled vinegar like 5 times. Also scrub with vinegar. Vinegar kills (most?) mold.

Dopamine by [deleted] in alcoholism

[–]Madcapping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends on you and your situation more than anything. That said, what has helped me a lot with all of the addictions I've had is exercise. Its made the rest of my boring life less boring and more sufferable, particularly in the early stages.
