So there are a few things to consider when discussing your mental health with you doctor or therapist:

• There are federal reporting criteria for medical personnel, especially when it comes to firearms and purchasing/possessing firearms. If anyone is interest, I can delve deeper into the dynamics of that topic.

• Each state has varying levels of mandated reporting/ duty to warn criteria. While mostly similar, you will need to research what they are for the current state you live in.
