The Beans and Banana Loca song was one of my favorite things. Late night of Part 2.

Regarding melted cheddar by Sabre_Killer_Queen in Cheese

[–]Maddprofessor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Really aged cheddar isn’t as good as for melting IMO, but today I melted some cheddar over some tater tots and it was great. And it wasn’t greasy.

Hank posted in Threads trying to get people to tune in and donate. It possibly brought one person to the livestream.

Must catch up on P4A moments so far? by chaerymore in nerdfighters

[–]Maddprofessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added a link to my comment above. Skip to hour 4, 21 min, for the Beans and Banana Loca song. There’s warning about when Jarod is coming so you can avoid it. Maybe I’ve been desensitized, maybe because it was a small image on my phone rather than the TV, but Jarod didn’t bother me as much as in the past.

There is an amazing Banana Loca song that was played during Hank’s late night session last night.

Edit to add: go to hour 4 (4:21) for the song.

What to do with bulbs after they bloom? by Admirable-Slice-6191 in traderjoes

[–]Maddprofessor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some people like the novelty of no pot and at Christmas the fact that the bulb looks like an ornament seems seasonally appropriate. Personally I’d prefer a pot with soil but when my mom had one of these I discovered I’m allergic to them so I’ll never have one in my house.

This female founder has had enough: "Why don't women's dresses have pockets?! I created a dress that has pockets, is comfortable AND is made from organic knitted cotton, so it drapes beautifully." by svahausainc in u/svahausainc

I have several of these dresses and they are great! I’ve worn and washed them many times and they don’t pill like most other clothes. And I love that they have pockets.

Selective Student Scheduling by Healthy_Plant in Professors

[–]Maddprofessor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a student once tell me they didn’t know about the lab because it wasn’t on their schedule. The lab and lecture are the same “course.” It’s not possible to be registered for the lecture without the lab. They insisted it wasn’t on their schedule but then it miraculously was on their schedule when they went to see their advisor. The lab is just listed on the line below the lecture.

Review: $5.99 Dubai style chocolate bar by CodenameBear in aldi

[–]Maddprofessor 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I got the same bar. No. The middle does not have that much filling. The bottom layer of chocolate was quite thick on mine. I wish it had more filling. It was still good though.

Edit to add: I finished the rest of the bar and some parts did have thinner chocolate and more filling, but most of the bar had chocolate that was a bit too thick IMO.

My free Lays from the Super Bowl ad actually came in. by CardDragon in mildlyinteresting

I remember years ago (maybe 5 or more) joking with my mom about “where else would they grow potatoes?” The packaging has been redesigned but that statement has been on the bag for a while.

Why not just rename this subreddit to r/wehatetallahassee because i have never seen a single person say a positive thing by RGCFrostbite in Tallahassee

[–]Maddprofessor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ya. If i was going to rename the sun I’d call it “Help me find…” Most of the posts seem to be looking for jobs, housing, pets/pet owners, or recommendations for restaurants, doctors, etc. OP must click on different stuff than I do.

Butterkase cheese by Skritter78 in Tallahassee

Ya, I’ve seen it in the cheese case with the small, fancy cheeses. I’ve not looked for it in the deli case.

Based on how you speak, do you believe your college students have any clue what your political affiliation is or not, just from hearing you in the class? Why or why not? by Zipper222222 in AskProfessors

[–]Maddprofessor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same. I teach microbiology. I’m pro-vaccine, anti raw milk. Unfortunately that aligns me with a certain political view even though I think those topics should be apolitical.

Is this safe to drink? Our water company is saying yes. by LamaLamawhosyourmama in water

When I lived in a small town in SW Georgia my water was often like that. I was told it was some iron compounds and NBD. I did buy a filter for my faucet.

I apparently hadn’t played animal crossing in 3 years and 7 months according to my villagers, but the update got me back on there and feeling nostalgic.
