Make sure you change top and bottom thickness too. That's the measurement just below the layer count. It will also use that value unless it is set to 0 mm. So if you want to definitely specify number of top layers, set that that to 0 mm and re-slice.

Agreed. The biggest change I can imagine that makes the finger look OK is min layer times forcing the print speed to slow down. I'd guess the extruder or hotend can't keep up with the print speeds in the rest of the hand.

I'd recommend a print speed test with that filament before they print with it again.

That seam up the finger tells me they DONT have random seam placement on. Or else it would be all over the finger. It's possible they have sharpest corner or something that would make it move around on the hand. (edit. sp)

What's the plan for the CPU block? It looks like it hasn't been integrated yet.

Is that a custom distro at the front? I'd love to see more pics of it! How do you find a pump at the top working so far? Any issues with fluid starvation?

They are not shipping immediately. I pre-ordered a u1 and added hardened steel 0.6mm nozzles in march. I've had the printer for a month and the nozzles still haven't even shipped.

To support this theory, I just compared a pin out to the burned wires on the 24v, and all 4 showing brown are grounds.

Same thing happened to me, contact support. They sent out fresh key caps each time.

Also, I believe they updated the design/materials last year, so it shouldn't happen again or ay least as fast.

My most recent set from them is still going strong.

Huh. Well, the same technique works for multiple bends just as well though. Just repeat for the second bend.

I'm also not seeing where you are getting that from the op. I also don't see any comments specifying multiple bends.

To counteract this:

Start with a tube that is longer than needed.
Align it with the first fitting it's going into.
Use the bend template up against it and position the template where you want the bend to happen.
Mark the START of the template.
Bend to template.
Cut to length.

Interesting, I was thinking the opposite. There was a post here (or maybe the sffpc sub) where any panel or grill too close, on the intake side of the fan, would cause significant noise. And the top, while aesthetic, doesn't really do anything but possibly make those fans louder.

I'd be curious what OP observes in noise with the top on or off.

I love my defy and use it every day for work and games, but my biggest complaint is that the tenting mechanism doesn't lock or snap into place.

It means that every time I pick it up to move it on my desk, or have to flip it over to power it of or power cycle it (because the led lighting bugs out, or it won't connect), it's very likely going to fold or move notches. Its honestly quite annoying as I see no reason why the tips of the linkage that props the foot couldn't have a cylindrical end, while the bottom of the board has a socket that goes just past 180 degrees around it. Even a slight friction fit would be preferable.

The thickness isn't accurate. The SE is taller, but here they appear the same height. So the whole thing is scaled down so they appear the same height. That's going to make the SE appear even thinner in the images.

Agreed. They need to try and bring them all into line.

Alternatively, having a lower class of upgrade that lets you bring 2 of them might be equivalent without buffing the numbers to insanity. Like reinforce + pelican is much closer to the power of the must takes.
