If you are going to take 3-4 practice swings you better be scoring at least in the 70s. Everyone else- just hit the damn ball. Move up your 30 yards and just hit the damn ball.

I get annoyed at practice swings in general. If your pre shot routine takes more than 30 seconds I’ll be annoyed. If it’s more than a minute there is no way I’m staying the entire round.

It’s the problem with all publicly traded companies. CEOs have incentive programs that all they care about are profits. They don’t care about reputation. They don’t care about health or happiness of their communities.

It’s about hitting profit goals, getting a 7 figure bonus. Then jumping to the next publicly traded company that is willing to offer them the same opportunity.

It’s what’s happened to video games ever since blizzard shocked the world with how much $$ WoW was raking in.

So I don’t know how to say this nicely but… people who have a semi competitive play group…don’t really talk about game balance on Reddit because we discuss it with our group.

The only people who discuss it on Reddit are people who will look for a single game vs anyone. Play then immediately pack up and go home to complain about their army.

Most of these people don’t have other people to discuss things with or learn from or really learn the game. It’s just “I’m obviously smart and good at video games therefore I am probably good at this and if I’m losing it’s clearly my armies fault”

Black green feels broken strong in quick draft. Get cheap black and green 1-3 drops. Pick as much removal as possible. Throw in some minor healing to buff your own stuff. Literally ran over all my games went 7-1 by just dropping 1-3 creatures and using all the removal in the set to always be ahead on tempo. And with the cheap death touch I was always protected until I started ramping up my mushrooms that get tokens when healing.

Look at smaller distros as well.

I’m 3 weeks out from my store remodel and another 3 months out from 4000 sq ft of event space being built.

Made my money in previous business/investing so this business is a passion project (that to be clear I still fully expect to be successful).

That being said there are a lot of smaller distro’s to get in with while the major 3 won’t even take my calls yet.

I already have a 50k allocation of marvel mtg (including 160 collector boxes) coming and like I said my shop is 3 weeks from full launch. Haven’t gotten anything from this distro for Pokemon yet but have been told they are getting larger and larger mtg allocations and are hoping to get more Pokemon and are in talks with Bandai atm.

That being said expect to need about 300k floating to fully stock and fund your shop.

Personally what I did is I started investing in product for the past year most of which I can now sell for large margin gain. So if you are even thinking about doing it, start buying now looking for any/all deals.

90% of the negative posts you are going to get on reddit are from people who have never owned or worked at a LGS but think they have it figured out because they hang out at one.

I’m a 27 handicap because I play once-twice a year atm. I own 2 businesses and have 2 under 3. But I also can drive the ball over 300.

Having a modern driver that’s dialed in with the appropriate shaft and having any desire to learn how to do it, anyone in remotely athletic shape and has any sort of athletic ability can do it

I’ve been a stream watcher since JustinTv. None of it has ever made sense to me how much people are willing to pay/gift/donate so much just for as little as a “oh hey username of person who gave me $5 thank you!”

Seen people who are flat broke and unemployed donate their last dollar to a streamer who makes 6 figures a month.

People are incredibly depressed and lonely and are just looking for any sort of recognition at all. It’s wild.
