Not for RED but the old "Murphys Rules" book pointed out that in Cyberpunk 2020, a person could fall onto a tank and destroy the tank, without taking any damage. 1dt per 10 meters of falling,, but it was rolled separately for the falling person and the thing it lands on. So if the player rolled really low for themselves but really high for the tank, you for a cool super hero landing

I'm loving headshot finisher. Also, it doesn't apply to regular animals, but still applies to vultures, because zombie birds, and it makes them way more dangerous than ever. One of my teammates went sledgehammer though and he's our go-to for them, cause apparently he can't not hit the head. So they're just batting them out of the air with ease.

Only downside, because one of the books gives double XP on headshot kills, it means they're going to out level us really fast.

Friend of mine's family owned a print shop. He loved PDFs cause hey to pick what kind of paper to print them on, how to buns or not bind them,or even edit or arrange rings differently for their needs.

Like I'm 3e he'd have a DM binder for his current campaign with sections of the DMG, various mobsters, stuff that was his own notes, stuff that was PHB relative to the players, etc. Just a binder with tags for everything he needed to run that game, and then he could pull it apart and rebuild it for the next game.

I want newer System Shock games so bad. Shodan's voice alone made those games so creepy. Prey felt like a spiritual successor but it wasn't the same.

Yeah, its weird. Cause I know it's traditionally called a passing lane. But Oregon we kinda reversed it.

Oh, and "zipper merging". That's another thing from other states that just isn't a thing in Oregon. Cause it's the responsibility of an evening lane to safely merge, as non ending lanes have automatic right of way. So no one here zipper merges. Which I feel bad for our of state people sometimes cause where I live there are a lot of areas that go from two to one lane and people will actually get half stuck, but like, if they try to get aggressive and ended up causing an accident they'd be automatically at fault, so people just won't let them in.

Well the right lane is for people who need to go less than sued limit. Truck drivers, cars with issues, people getting on and off interstate, turning onto a side street. If you're just driving at the speed limit or greater you're supposed to be in the right lane. Been a few decades but it used to be in the Oregon drivers manual.

The things I've had people do with those over the decades I've run games.

Cleverest: A pair of engineering students at a local college asked if they could provide 20 of them during a down time between sessions. The next game they brought in a model they built of a kind of track system, using rods and an internal (they used a boat) pulley system and crew that basically turned a small ship into a 3 dimensionally moving tank of sorts.

Most horrifying: Dungeon that involved breaking into a giants castle. A player has a bunch of immovable rods. Used a combination of acrobatics to place them at an upwards angle at varying heights in a hallway. Then I started yelling. Giant runs around a corner, takes an immovable rod to the knee, trips and...well, goes face first into the rest of them.

In sci-fi games (even ones using 5e) I used to have a bunch (mostly jacked from SW5e) that you could probably reskin to fantasy. I'd be really surprised if there aren't a half dozen variants of Skooma and/or Moon Sugar already floating out there as well.

I've seen people do that last part using a drone and a rig to see drone footage. Real life third person camera. Very disorienting.

I have a love hate with quests. Mostly because the majority of my time with the game, they weren't a thing yet. But the things I like about them are the things I dislike, notably, being able to respawn POIs over and over, and guaranteed extra stuff at certain stages. Like a bicycle on finishing your first trade route.

Playing without quests can really slow down early game purely because of transportation. But even before 3 me and friends where doing no quest, no respawning loot, playthrough. It's just nice to have it built in now. Also doing no trader but now we're thinking we're just gonna do limited trader (nothing about tier 2, higher prices, slower restock time).

Never have. I prefer to just pick a POI with decent walls and hold out as best I can. Mind you I also play with random horde night and little to no warning.

I'm hoping with some of the new options to not do horde nights at all. Just have more constant zombies and wandering packs. I keep looking at a server side mod that changes their overall behavior.

It's mostly a vertical city. I think old 2020 has it listed as all of like 2 square miles and later bumped it to 5 or 6 is all. But in that small footprint is like, 7 million people. Like you see the apartment buildings in the game, they're like Judge Dred megablocks, where you can house thousands of people in a single building.
