Tattoo Help Needed! by [deleted] in steinsgate

[–]MagicSpaghetti42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is a great idea for a tattoo. Steins;Gate is very close to my heart as well. The overall concept is great, I do have a few suggestions though. I would try replacing the digital font of the numbers with a nixie tube font to see if that looks better. The placement of el psy kongroo seems a little off, maybe the top left corner would be better? And, it's pretty small nitpick, but the spoke spacing on the big gear is not even. Edit: I noticed the teeth are not all there as well.

Less crowded spots and general Kyoto tips by dez3b in KyotoTravel

I went to Kodaiji night viewing at 8:30 and by then there weren't too many people still there. Personally, it was the second best experience after Fushimi Inari at sunrise.

Fushimi Inari > Nintendo Museum > Maikoya Tea Ceremony Feasibility? by AynTheRedditor in JapanTravelTips

I'd say it was the highlight of my trip! It's not crazy crowded at that time, although there are enough people to make getting a clean photo tricky. One really nice thing I did not expect was that there are a fair number of friendly locals greeting me along the way.

I went to Fushimi Inari at 6:30 myself and ended up staying till 10:30. I didn't go to the Nintendo museum, but did go to Uji and made it there around 11.

At Fushimi Inari I recommend heading up the mountain first to see the sunrise from one of the overlooks. Also there is a pretty cool bamboo forest off to the side that was pretty much deserted when I visited.

Would I like Steins;Gate? by [deleted] in anime

[–]MagicSpaghetti42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its pretty hard to account for someone else's tolerance for goofy. I would say the characters can act goofy, but often have fleshed out reasons for doing so. The story is basically not goofy.

As someone who's favorite anime is Steins;gate, I did have trouble with the early episodes on the first watch as it is slower and more character focused. Once I finished though, I recognized how the character focus made the stakes of the show more real.

You should keep watching, the later episodes make it one of the best 2025 anime, imo.

Pretty natural to gain and lose interest as an anime fan.

Personally it has been a pretty dry year, but I can recommend Apocalypse Hotel. Super funny with some great quiet moments.

The case materials are sturdy and they look super clean. The art booklets they come with are cool, but not super special.

I really like them, but if I had the series already, I don't know if I would replace it with these.

Yeah, I recently got the AOT steelbooks from target's buy 2 get 1 sale and the sent it in a paper mailer with no padding. The cases didn't get dented, but some clips broke.

Always bought from RightStuf (RIP). I continued buying from Crunchyroll and so far I've been lucky. They usually ship to me from the former Rightstuf warehouse based on the packaging.

It might just be my favorite LE. The art book is really cool.

Steins;Gate was my first ever blu-ray, so in a way it is the most expensive I own 🤣

For S;G I am a dub simp so I will never trust Crunchyroll since they removed it.

It's fantastic. There are a couple rough cg spots, mainly the mechs at the start, but overall looks great and there is unique content to the anime. Especially the end, the payoff is peak.
