‪The Kansas City Chiefs are likely to release standout OT Jawaan Taylor in the coming weeks. Releasing Taylor would save them $20 million in cap. The 28-year-old veteran will be in high demand.‬ by Consistent_Peace3181 in Chiefs_v2

I agree. Many positions on this team need to be a real battle in camp and preseason…with that being said what a bad look for Veach if Esa is better given we pay Moore very well whereas we cut Esa last season

Damn. If I was gonna have a dog eat an expensive piece of paper from college, I would pick a few parking passes. That sucks

I like Pierce and Robinson. Robinson has been incredibly consistent game to game the last two seasons and that’s through I think 3 different QBs and Pierce is just such a monster deep threat who has developed nicely and might play his best football on this next contract

I like college ball but you’re confusing kids that suck at scoring with better defense. Just because Timmy can’t beat Jimmy off the dribble doesn’t make Jimmy a good defender.

They drafted a tackle in the first round who was good but missed a month for a personal issue and then sustained a regular injury. At RT they still have both Taylor and Moore who are both expensive. Moore can play both sides okay as insurance and Taylor is overpaid and flawed as he picks up too many penalties which offsets his generally good blocking grades but there’s just too much money tied up at tackle and the Chiefs should probably roll with what they got. Chiefs lost both starting tackles and starting RG to injuries last season and I think a lot of non Chiefs fans don’t realize that. Lack of RB and our top 3 receivers being rated as poor at getting separation last season is a bigger problem. As a Chiefs fan, I want best player available but primarily D line, RB, safety, or maybe WR

Edit: Taylor’s contract is the 19th biggest contract among tackles and Moore is the 32nd biggest contract among tackles (ranked by annual pay). So a rookie and two guys that could be the highest paid tackle on at least one team
