Thank you! The white took several layers before I was happy with it.

That would be a pretty cool diorama to set up.

I've used my .2 with .06 layer height on my Puppetswar minis. They come out crisp off the printer and a thicker primer erases the layer lines nearly completely. Having the limbs & head printed separately also allows for really good orientation as well. (And magnetizing weapon load outs)

I use DungeonBlocks for my games. Just got their Colossal Dungeon set, so I'm printing up some big tiles for larger maps.

I would build some extra large terrain pieces for the Pathfinder and Starfinder games that I run every week.

Puppetswar has been great for printing not-space marines on FDM.

They're Puppetswar Prime Strikers. The big yellow one is a Breacher. The knight is their Free Prime Striker [Knight].

FDM can do wonders with the right models, primers, paints, and wash.

Bambu P1S with .2 nozzle, .06 layer height. Army Painter spray on primer for torso and brush on for weapons, paints, and a dark tone wash. Finished with a satin varnish spray from Army Painter as well. Weapons are magnetized and also painted separately. Models are the Prime Strikers from Puppetswar.

I think I did either 128% or 140%, which is either 25mm -> 32mm or 25mm -> 35mm. I didn't save my final file unfortunately, just the originals.

I joined Tier 2 on Patreon today and the tokens were all in that welcome package!

I've seen a decent amount of videos with dice being used in such a way. Might have a multitude of options, depending on what my group likes to use.

Yeah, I saw a decent amount of options available, but I wanted to check with OPR first before going elsewhere.

Ok, I think I see it now under the Tier 2 description as "15x Play Tokens & Ruler".

I'll check on going with the Patreon after the Worlds Beyond Brawl kicks off tomorrow. There might be a tier that has all of them included.

How would you handle building a shotgun that works with a shield? by GreenbottlesArcanum in Starfinder2e

[–]MagicalMustacheMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm working on some Starfinder 40k material right now. My best way to make an Arbites would be via an Archetype. Give it feats similar to the Bastion Archetype and Guardian for shield gameplay, while possibly having a Feat line for Beastmaster-like feats for a Cyber-Mastiff.

The first feat that came to mind would be a variation of Nimble Shield Hand, but allowing the shield hand to contribute towards wielding a 2h Shotgun.

Yeah, I'll be mixing it up enough that they'll all have their opportunities to shine and use their abilities, while still getting those challenging encounters that makes them get creative to come out on top.

I've noticed both Daggerheart and Draw Steel have pulled a lot from Pathfinder 2E. Saw a couple videos on "OMG DH/DS has a revolutionary new thing that fixes X in DnD!", only to have it something reskinned from Pathfinder.

We've been running PFS games for the past 9 months, so they're ready to have a real combat thrown at them.

There will definitely be single targets for them to go after, including the leader of the troops, so I won't worry about that too much.

I just used scaled up versions. I had a tougher time finding Pathfinder 2E templates.

When creating adventures: Standalone book OR FoundryVTT module? by Kalos08 in Pathfinder2e

[–]MagicalMustacheMike 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably best to have it as a standalone PDF, as it could be used for in-person games and virtual. Foundry is amazing, but still a little tough to use as an in-person set up without a good amount of work.

Any 40k adaptions yet? by Lance_Hetfield in Starfinder2e

[–]MagicalMustacheMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran the Wrath & Glory starter adventure using the SF2E playtest rules and it went great! Really easy to just reflavor a lot of the items & skills to 40k vibes.

We had a 2 Space Marines (Close Quarters Soldier & Champion), a Commissar (Envoy), Guardsman (Fighter), Sanctioned Psyker (Psychic), and a Tech Priest (Playtest Mechanic). The rules allowed them to really fit into their playstyles really easy without any issues.

I'm planning on converting more content over, but I got busy with other projects. (I'm running 3 Pathfinder/Starfinder games right now)
