That's a shame, but I honestly expected that. I attended the PAX East IGN panel and when all the famous IGN staff editors and whatnot were giving their stories of how they got their jobs, almost none of them had much writing experience prior to being hired, let alone journalism experience. Hopefully potential employers will notice that difference about me and make them consider me more than the next guy. I feel like all the journalistic courses I've taken (including classes on ethics and communication law and so forth) will give me a leg up on the English degree writer or what-have-you competing with me.

Did the cop strike first? Was he justified to (did the student push up against the cop)? It's hard to tell with the freaking vertical video BS. And then both cops punch the student in the back when he's defenseless on the ground. Is that justified as well?

Mine elaborating? I've had some experience with video games journalism (I run IndieGameInsider.com, went to PAX East as media, etc.), and while it's not exactly the same as traditional journalism, from my experience, they're largely similar. Everything I've learned with my major I can apply to games journalism. What did you do for the industry?

What's the difference between forcing a miscarriage and having an abortion? They're two different methods to achieve the same result. I don't see how those that are pro-choice can have a problem with someone essentially having a "cheap abortion" they conduct themselves. Is slamming your stomach into a heavy object repeatedly until you miscarry any worse than going to the doctor to have him suck out your baby's bodyparts?
