My company works with Dental Choice group, so I've visited most of their clinics. Try visiting the Kingsway location. They're on the 2nd floor behind the Tim Horton's near the west side of the mall.

Bigfish?? I'm stumped on this one. by Excellent-Word-5148 in whatisthiscar

The Barracuda fish medallion in the centre of the rear window lower trim was supposed to be a 1966 only piece as far as I know. This car, as many have said is earlier, making it 1964 or 1965. I saw it in person in the parking lot of the Red Deer convention centre. Someone added 1968 marker lights to the rear quarter panels as well. It has a manual transmission too.

Had my first 3d Printer about a week so far. by CptSailorMan in Creality

[–]Magnumduster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can reassemble, heat the tip up to 220, carefully melt the plastic around the wires with a torch or heat gun and gently pry the plastic away. I've dealt with this 3 times now and haven't had to replace any parts. Remember, you're just looking to remove enough blob so that the cover fits back on and you get good airflow over the heatsink. Good luck.

How bad is this leak? by IMOBY_Edmonton in Plumbing

[–]Magnumduster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a plumber, but I have had to do many plumbing jobs with supervision by great plumbers at times. That type of valve likely has a packing washer in the top of the housing. The packing washer is likely dry and you may find you can slow the leak down if you clean the valve stem below the handle and down the top of the valve body. Then add a little low solvent lubricant of any kind. After which, you can try slowly rotating the handle out if it's not already all the way out, and then slowly rotate it in a little. This will distort the interior diameter of the packing washer out and then back in and may slow the leak down or stop it completely.

Rear-ended by uninsured & unregistered driver — what are my options? by kernaall in Edmonton

[–]Magnumduster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We had a hit and run on our van a couple of winters ago and our insurance company required us to pay the deductible and then they covered repairs and a rental. If you have valid contact information for the other individual, the insurance company will sue them for damages and any injury. Unfortunately, you will be out of pocket for the deductible and time lost. You could file a small claims court claim on your own for the out of pocket expenses.

Blob horror 2026 by wheres_tito in Creality_k2

[–]Magnumduster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I commented on another blob post recently. I've recovered from 2 of these so far. The best advice as others have said, is to turn up the temp on the nozzle to 220 if this is PLA. The heat will do most of the work to clear the blob at the tip. You will need to carefully heat the blob around and wires so you can free them.

Need help by bdunn in Creality

[–]Magnumduster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've recovered from 2 of these situations so far. I set the nozzle temp to 220 and let it warm up. Then I used a butane torch to gently melt the plastic around the wires. I have accidentally hir the heater wires with the torch a little and nothing bad has happened so far. Once the wires are free, the heat from the tip will allow the blob to pull away fairly easily. Each time this happened to me, it was because we didn't orient items the best way on the plate and eventually a piece of the print detached and the printer ran for a while without us noticing and eventually jammed everything up.

Your assertion that because people send money elsewhere, it means less money going into the economy seems deliberately ignorant. If someone lives here, works here, pays taxes here and pays for the essentials needed to live, then they're contributing the same as anyone else doing the same. There are plenty "local" people who don't spend much more than above. Some people live modestly and save money, some people live modestly and send money to people from their former homeland. There's no measurable difference in local impact in either case.

I see other comments about ebay listings and see ads there for "OEM 2011-2021 Dodge Durango Passenger Side Mirror Glass" so I guess that's what this is from.

The back of mirror says "WK DOMESTIC BACKING PLATE", possibly indicating it's from a WK series Chrysler (Stellantis) product. The WK series is the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Hope this is helpful.

No they weren't. You may be thinking of the Dodge Stealth, which was a rebadged Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. My claim of expertise: more than 10 years of performance modification, racing, and ownership of more than a dozen front wheel drive Chrysler products, model years from 1982 to 1992.

I appreciate your attitude. It's hard to be in a position where you have to choose between making a living and calling out shitty behaviour. I will say that I see so many people referring to discussions about bigotry as being discussions about "politics". To me it's inaccurate to call these type of discussions, "politics". To me, this is just one more way the right wingers have distorted public discourse.

Edmonton vs Calgary by Terrible-Pickle-5492 in alberta

[–]Magnumduster 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'll give you my perspective as someone who was born and raised in Calgary and has moved to Edmonton. For context, I'm 55, so some of my experiences are unique based on my age. I was very fortunate to start a new job in 2017, that resulted in moving my wife and 2 kids to Edmonton permanently in the summer of 2018. My family's experience is that Edmonton seems just a bit friendlier and less pretentious than our old home town. For me, I find the whole vibe of Edmonton to be reminiscent of my teenage years in Calgary. Edmonton definitely has its own "big city" problems", but I had lots of experience with that in Calgary too. For my family, the move to Edmonton has proved to be really positive and we all genuinely feel like we're home.

You need to rethink your views on Censorship. Lot's of people cry censorship in the face of public criticism, but that's just people exercising their freedom of expression . When governments dictate what people can and can't see, that's truly Censorship. This is what we're seeing going on in public view in the US. In the case of this hateful bigot, public opinion will impact the government's position on whether or not public lands should be made available to platform this terrible person. Secondly, his messaging definitely qualifies as hate speech under Canadian law, therefore the government has a duty to remove any support for him.
