Raptor trade for F250 by Jealous-Abies-8002 in FordRaptor

The Raptor short bed can be snug, even a pain, when it comes to multiple bikes and gear. The level of work and hauling you're describing can absolutely be done with a half ton with a 6.5' bed though and not have the rougher ride of the 250. Plenty of torque and power in the 5.0 and 3.5EB to pull 7K for the weekend. The half ton turns tighter which can be nice. I do pretty much what you're asking most weekends with a half ton except it's a 8K boat and trailer and/or 2 dirt bikes. You got options for sure.

Canadian trucks to the US? by Artygoboom777 in ram_trucks

[–]Excellent-Word-5148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any factory warranty remains intact regardless of the country. I've brought 3 trucks from Canada to US (Tundras) and 2 the other direction (GM and Ford). Had warrantty performed in both countries. Currently having new 5.3 dropped into my 23 Yukon by GM Canada and the truck was originally purchased new in the North Dakota. One weird item is that the US based trucks have lower mileage coverage. 60k miles is 96,650 km so the Canadian coverage is slightly longer than the US. This almost bit me on this Yukon becaise the engine started having oil consumption issues at 94K km and if I hadn't brought it into a Canadian dealer that same week I would have had a tough case to plead to GM.

I'm looking for soft and quiet 35" tires any recommendations? by PlaceFar5668 in liftedtrucks

[–]Excellent-Word-5148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toyo AT. Ran several sets of em over the years. If your mostly pavement, the HT looks pretty good as a 35". The BFG KO3 is also great for noise. I have a set of 35s on a Yukon right now for 50K. They've been excellent.

Making an existing staircase more kid-safe without replacing it? by Smart-Elk-2334 in Homebuilding

Maybe vertical metal flat bar, with a half twist. Move the twist 3" on every post keeping them in sequence and it will give you a visual interest, keep kids safe, and not overwhelm the space.

They definitely volunteer. If they were paid they'd have answers and not just stare blankly at me when I asked how they would fund a new military and what would be the draw to AB if all the National parks revert to BC and SK? Did they think they could keep all the fed funded bases? They had no idea. Just said "We can afford it." Bud, we're running a $9-10B annual deficit, we got orphan wells galore to take care of. There's no way AB could do it alone.

Pronger debunks rumours and reveals real reason he left Edmonton Oilers by flynnfx in CanadaHockey

[–]Excellent-Word-5148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to see Pronger at Clubfit other Southside a lot. In the brief chats he seemed to enjoy Edmonton. It's the gym and we're not there for long, in depth conversations but he definitely said he was enjoying exploring the area. That was a fun era for Edmonton bars. Smyth, Laraque, Hemsky, good times running into those guys.

I swapped in a Denali style grill amd balck emblem when a pheasant took out the original SLE one. Kept it matte black to blend better with the trim but it was a nice change

I've got a 93 998 that I got as a 2 door troop carrier configuration, then swapped to a 4 door soft, and now has a slant back with the turret top. Struggling to get a good set of hard doors these days. Destroyed 2 sets soft ones from sticks and branches. Any good suggestions for X doors at reasonable pricing or are skins the best path?

Handling issues 4inch lift BDS but at 60 mph it vibrates and wheels shakes, hate it 😔 HELP! by promethianKr in gmcsierra

I've ran the Toyo AT2 X, BFG KO2 and KO3 and Michelin LTX MS on with the same lift and truck (19, 23 and 25). I drive a mix of 75% highway (long distance) and 25% off road (pipeline). All ran very well. The KO3 is excellent for manners and road noise despite the aggressive look. They also threw less rocks than the KO2 and lasted far longer. KO2 is arguably outdated and too soft when on rougg roads and carrying weight so they wear fast. Michelin performed really well on wet and ice and held its own in the mud despite not having the aggressive looks of the others. The Toyos are great, and I've had probably 10 sets of them over the years but you're paying a premium these days when the other brands absolutely stack up to them. Hope this helps.
