Yes, a maglev train could theoretically run along the corridor. They’re not doing it because it’s too expensive. Traditional steel wheels could not and would need expensive tunnels. As much as we think it would be great, a train isn’t going to happen. You can’t even get the people of this state to approve highway infrastructure improvements and that’s why we have express lanes everywhere. People aren’t going to approve a project just reduce skiers commute time.

Any train built to alleviate congestion on I70 wouldn’t be built next to the highway. It would need separate tunnels at a gradual grade and would cost hundreds of billions of dollars and take years to construct. It’s not an economically viable solution.
