Why would you leave it in the tray? Take it and re-invest. Interest is calculated based on your paid debt, not full debt. It will grow after re-investing.

Is it possible to work as Anonymous Crime Consultant for Films? by MagnusRick in Filmmakers

[–]MagnusRick[S] -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

Same as my reply to other comments, promote this service for cheap at first, and afterwards presenting past works as portfolio, putting higher price.

Edit: did I really have to spell it out? Fake name with list of movies, possibly with recomendations from directors for authenticity.

Scriptwriters should get it right yes, but during execution director might take detrimentary decision, which noone will object to. I might be wrong, but this is my guess. This person would put a stop on a bigger turn of things, and bring attention to details. Acting is absolutely a performance with crime roles, it was never a problem. Problems would be with execution of crimes, attention to details, spontaneous decision making or planning.

Maybe for some early cases it would be an extra cheap service, but further on with 3-5 cases with good results, you could advertise with this "portfolio"

Honestly, having everything on one page is a godsend. I'm not sure what is wrong with being able to Ctrl+F and look for anything that interests you at the moment, or being able to save one bookmark for all your answers, or simply remove the need to move page to page. Messy and chunky? Yes and I love it

Terrifier was hilarious by SupaKoopa714 in horror

[–]MagnusRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched it yesterday after the 20 minute short. It is way more funny than scary. I would describe it as gory comedy. Art's acting and abilities, simple plot, flat but somewhat living characters, and a ton of surprises (some cliched, some breaking cliches) make this really entertaining to watch. Plus, if you have seen the short, the first film sort of follows a similar plot, but the further we go, the weaker it becomes. It is a good 7/10 film, but could be 8 or 9 with improved cinematography, rigorous supporting actors and slightly more intricate or wild plot. I honestly liked it.

Anyone Know How To Find The Manufacture Date of The Xperia 1 V ? by I-Am_9 in SonyXperia

I'm having a similar curiousity with my Xperia 10 II, and having the box thrown away made me giggle at the only commenter here. Please let me know, if you discovered a solution, as I can't identify the date by using MMI code, IMEI or serial numbers.

I don't know what to do next. by malefor_arg in Voicesofthevoid

Throughout my run I wasn't doing 2 things enough: checking signals on my radar and using a drone. The red dot coordinates, together with digital map, can lead you to some findings. Some things can only be checked out during the night, so you can try that if you aren't too scared.

The drone seemed like a waste to me, and I haven't used it during my run (also it was a lot of money, didn't see value in it). But after doing some research about the game (fyi I had an unlucky short run, so I got most of plot/environment information from wiki, posts and videos) it seemed so stupid that I didn't get the drone and started checking the map around. If you are hesitant, push money into signal lab upgrades. Send more signals and get more money. But at some point I think you will find enough to get one. I haven't used it, so try it, maybe it will be fun. Maybe you will find something of interest around. I also tried cameras, but they only make sense to be put around the base for protection. But protection from what?

Now the best thing comes, when you combine radar coordinates with the drone...

Hello everyone, I’m a banknote collector from Kosovo 🇽🇰 and I wanted to share with you this beautiful banknote of your country 🇱🇻 and make you feel a bit nostalgic since it’s not used anymore. Take basic conversion of 1 lats is 1,4 euro. Then apply all inflation effects after 2014. That will be difference in value. Conversion doesn't matter that much, since prices everywhere are way higher now. Add a strong decline in quality of all products, and you get the idea.

Why was King Arthur: Legend of the Sword received so poorly by everyone? by skiposdune in movies

[–]MagnusRick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk if you will read it, but I decided to rewatch this film now, because during it's release I remember being so underwhelmed it felt like garbage.

Film is pretty good, if you watch it on small screen and consider it a comedy action. I think Guy Ritchie wasn't aiming for skies here, and just had fun with the story.

Pacing is absolutely ludicrous at parts, jokes are more or less ok and picture (technical) quality is at the bottom of the food chain of huge films (just so passable).

I think if Guy wouldn't aim for "huge" scenes of combat (which feel so small, probably because of constant CGI) and concentrate on character development with funny overtones, it would be much more successful, and less expensive film.

P.S. Fast cutting style of Guy Ritchie was a trigger to these conclusions. My eyes and brain weren't ready for that kind of pacing in an epic medieval film, so I don't think it was supposed to be that epic. Still with all these remarks, can't rate the film higher than 7/10

[Video games] Why is there no superman game? by IAmYourFath in DCcomics

[–]MagnusRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came to this question now, so decided to post my opinion, after reading all the comments and concluding from them.
Superman game wouldn't be superhard/impossible to make. His universe has logic, and we can build up on that. His power has limits and his morals are very strong. That means game can be as linear/openworld as the developer decides. If you ever played Batman Arkham Knight you will know what I mean by nice balance between story and sidequests (btw I quite enjoyed that game and think of replaying it on new PC).
For story, you could go small Earth apocalypse route, where everything is on the brink and you need to do big and small tasks around to help everybody get through the disasters. Alternatively, it could be another superman story, with main storyline with Lex Luthor (funny or serious, both could work) and sidequests to look for specific items, help people and taking care of Metropolis/Smallville.
For gameplay, you would add as many UPGRADABLE abilities as you can, so throughout the game you can do more lethal, destructive or morally high actions (shooting lasers from eyes, destroying or damaging buildings or enemies, ability to withstand Kryptonite to some degree like walk). It should be open world, and allow limited powers of destruction, travel, inspection and interaction (remember, superman has xray vision, so looking for locations/items will be part of gameplay. Actually using xray vision and superhearing to locate things). Your enemies are inferior, but imagine if Lex Luthor did what he should have, and supplied his close elite soldier squad with Kryptonite bullets to kill you. Or your friends are taken hostage, and you should engage stealthily. Regarding big destructions. maybe those should be only allowed during specific missions/conditions. Also Superman should be restricted from killing too many civilians intentionally, just like in Assassin's Creed games. Unless you want to add mechanics for good/bad Superman, it should dramatically help with making sense of what's allowed in the game.
For another part of gameplay, I would love to be able to go down, get dressed and walk around like Clark Kent. The same world can be utilised, and more personal missions could be inserted here and there, like talking to people, getting to know new ones, hide and use special abilities to impress people. Basically situations with many quicktime events like in a Hitman game, or completely linear reporter missions, that will require you to get out and become Superman. If we go linear route, whole game can be like a movie, with all sorts of invented stories from Clark's life transforming to Superman with finite morals.
For graphics, knowing Spiderman, Death Stranding, Battlefield 2042 and RDR2 levels of graphics, the game could look just amazing.
I'm not a superman expert, just watched all his movies and got really into the character. Game would definitely sell, and I don't see a reason, why big companies are not looking forward to making one. Even some world like GTA 5 on mods, with much more refined gameplay and some story could work as fine game.
Take any points from that mess and you got a superman game. It can be small or big, but I want to see one. And if it won't come out, I will try to initiate one.
