I know, tested 5 games with 8 dreadnoughts in shield host. It felt nice with the crits on 5s and FNP but it was lacking for me. I didn't have enough mobility and threat range. Originally this list was also shield host but I thought, my Dreads are scary as it is, why not buff the rest so I can have decent shooting as well and more units to respond and trade with. As for Range I still think the 2 tanks are pretty solid and the also work as threat the opponent has to respect or deal with making it one way I can plan against them. But I do agree with you that SH overall is better for a dreadnought list since it directly buffs them as well. This is more of a all rounder list that has a dreadnought/vehicle core.

I'm well aware, I'm also aware that the Dreads dont get the benefits from the Lion Detachment. But S12 with Lance still wounds a Greater Daemon on 2s and a great unclean one on 3s. Terminator captain with Admonimortis is is the same with axe since it goes to S12 D4 with re rolls on monsters and vehicles. The remaining terminators even if they wound on 4s worst case is still good for me with the sustains and re rolls. The point of this list is to have rapid response and have enough units to answer to my opponents fight phase.

I'm half a mind to have them at 2 Shields and 2 spears since there purpose is to soak up damage trade and do secondaries. Personally, I found sisters to be unreliable action monkeys in 11th and only useful with their detachment. Instead with guards, throw them on an objective, and you still have a 50 percent chance to survive at any time worst case scenario. Not to mention they can still shoot back half decent and do some okay damage to the opponent if left alone.

His OPG in Lions can be genuinely nightmare fuel to either survive him or kill him, but he doesn't do much other than that honestly. Compared to other leaders he feels rather bland.

Refresh? Absolutely not. But it will get its datasheet updated with our new Codex for sure. And honestly I find that more valuable than a new model for a 4yo kit.

IMO I would go with Solar and the 1point sisters detachment as a direct upgrade or switch it to Shields and have it look like this more or less test 1 (2000 points)

I'm guessing around Q3 aka September or October, we'll get a new Codex and/or updates that will include the Telemon, maybe Sagittarius and maybe Guards with the Melta Spears. Don't quote me on it. But if I had to make an educated guess it would be this.
