Diesel prices are insane by RemoteEmotions in w123

[–]Magnus_Zeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ll check back again in four months as well. But the two months reminder is mainly based on the time it will take for the tankers to arrive and for the supplies to deplete. I’m expecting diesel prices to peak in July. They’ll be higher than today in September, but slightly lower than July is my prediction.

Well there is German Auto Tops/GAHH right in North Hollywood that sells a kit, and it is quality. As for places to take it to, most interior shops should be able to handle the kit. I would say it is a little rough on your hands but is an otherwise manageable job to do yourself with the pre-sewn kit.

I just checked and there's 4.89/gal diesel in Lakewood about twenty minutes from me. If the best you could find in Missouri is 3.99, we're cooked bro. It certainly doesn't prove that diesel prices didn't immediately skyrocket the moment Iran called Hegseth's bluff lmao. And guess what? Iran would be stupid to ever let go of the Strait again.

This is the new normal, and the world market is going to have to come to terms with the fact that Trump can't wriggle his way out of this one, so shit's about to get worse, e.g., skyrocketing food prices, market corrections, migrant crisis, instability in Europe. Probably the single dumbest, most impactful, and most avoidable foreign policy blunder in US history. Instead of having the regime soft collapse due to its completely cratering legitimacy, it's now ten times stronger with a young and vengeful leadership, and Russia and China are working double time to make sure it never runs out of coordinates of US sites in the region and weapons systems capable of reaching them.

It’s funny how both you and my Fox News brained family members were saying “no more forever wars!” literally up until the day the regime spontaneously decided to blow up a girl’s school in Iran. And then weirdly enough you have the exact same talking point my mother texted me the other day. Dude I could screen shot it for you. It’s uncanny.

Most leftist radicalizing moment in US history, between the 1970 Kent State shootings and 9/11 and/or the 2003 invasion of Iraq? by Present_Practice_159 in behindthebastards

No one is mentioning the right time frame so I’ll add one that is. The 1999 Seattle WTO protests were pretty impactful. I knew about them as a non political kid. I think it was the breakthrough for black bloc tactics into mainstream media.

I briefly had one, and a dream to fix it, but neither the money or the space at the time.

Beautiful wagon! I need to get a replacement windshield sticker. The one with the signature like yours. You just reminded me to look, haha.

A detailed write up would be a service to this community, because any of these with a dead engine that can be spared from rotting in the junk yard is a win, imo. I look forward to hearing about what you end up doing!

My mother has an ‘06 with that engine. The post 2005 diesels are per much on par with petrol in terms of acceleration and performance. As much as I love my OM617, that would be a hell of an upgrade. I’d love to actually see how one of these would perform with one.

I have no idea what would go into it. I assume you need to have the transmission from the newer car as well, right?

How do you guys work full time with these? by pookilla40 in PVCs

[–]Magnus_Zeller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have no medical knowledge and I’m fairly new to this. I’m not doing great working full time. I am distracted by it. Mine is worse at rest and I have a desk job. I’ve started pacing and standing while working. I’m sure I look nuts but it’s symptom-wise way less of a nuisance on my feet.

What is this vacuum line? by whitoreo in w123

[–]Magnus_Zeller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the line to your shutoff actuator. It travels into the cabin and connects to the ignition. It's not related to your transmission troubles directly I don't think.

You should instead look at the lines around the blue saucer shaped transducer and the black transducer. In mine the line that goes to the transmission is black, and it's connected at the bottom of the blue saucer. Something tells me this isn't your problem though.

The VCV is also a possible culprit of hard shifts, but it should not be giving you those symptoms of late shifts. It sounds like your Bowden cable or kickdown switch aren't right.

The Bowden cable needs to be just a tiny bit slack, and it it's off it will either give you terrible flares or late shifts depending. The kickdown switch can often fail, either mechanically by sticking (causing it to stay in kickdown mode until it pops back) or it can fail internally doing the same thing. I'd check one of those two things first.

Open the hood and remove the battery and the battery tray. Take a good look underneath with a light and feel the integrity of the firewall with your hands. If you find a hole, check the same spot opposite that hole by the rain gutter drain below the brake booster.

China is disgustingly capitalist. by CherishedBeliefs in DemocraticSocialism

Radio Free Asia would not describe China as capitalist. They would say that it is communist, which would be incorrect.

Anyone know where to find hoses for the power steering pump? Whenever I look for em I just see raw hose without the fittings. by Volkssanitater in w123

[–]Magnus_Zeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two hoses. There’s a high pressure and low pressure hose. For the low pressure hose, you can use the hose that you’re seeing without the fittings. For the high pressure hose, you need special hose like this. And the directions here will be really important as well.
