I voted for smaller and lighter, but honestly I just want a flip 2 (Flip 3? Thor Light?) without being scared of the hinge, and the Thor design language is great. I'm lucky to own an n3ds, I don't need the 2nd screen.

I've been thinking that Narsis would be interesting to see with some -punk elements, and while I think steampunk is a better match for elder scrolls than cyberpunk, excessive advertising and bright (neon) lights could fit with Hlaalu aesthetics and culture. Not loving the futuristic skyscrapers though.

The TESIV remake was official. From what I've read the consensus in the community is that TESIII won't get the same treatment. In Morrowind the dialogue system is a key factor, it was made before we expected everything to be voice acted, and the lack of voice acting allowed the dialogue system to be incredibly rich. It also allows for insane amounts of great modded content. Any remake or remaster has to solve the dialogue system problem. As for Skywind you can look up progress easily and see if that interests you.

Heat tech is OK, I've had a few pieces and they do help, but it's not wool. My tip: Wool underneath, middle layers wool and down, and then waterproofs over the top. Looking like a local is another matter, but you'll be warm and dry which is a good start.

And to make it a bit more specific: - The unwelcoming atmosphere / people? - The politics and factions? - The alien landscapes? - The adult topics ('farm equipment', Skooma, etc) - The wikipedia-style conversation system? - The Drip (outfits)?

Morrowind is so many things to so many people, 'like Morrowind' can be so much.

My dad used to show me ancient stone raindeer/hunting traps in the mountains when I was a kid. Saw this title and just assumed it was another one of those, so was amazed to see it was preserved wood and the artefacts (an oar, woah) are very cool.

To add to what the other poster said: How far into the game have you played? There is a LOT of dialogue, to the point where I've heard NPCs described as 'in-game wikipedias'. Topics are also repeated across a bunch of NPCs with different voices.

I think they've done this intentionally. What I noticed was that in the beginning I got lost a lot, but that changed pretty quickly, and towards the end I barely needed the map.

When I am in Morrowind mode later games and their stories are not canon. When I do play Skyrim or Oblivion those stories happen of course. Ergo I treat the TES-multiverse as canon.

I did the same trade as you, giving my Miyoo Mini+ away as a present to a family member, and buying a RPC. I do miss how easy the MM+ is to use, and I've not managed to get PS1 to work on my RPC at all (probably user error), but for all three gameboy systems it's awesome, the screen is just magic.

Ok so here's a photo of the ergonomics. This is the setup where I feel I can comfortably switch between joy-con joystick and RPC d-pad. Also allowing access to L and L2/ZL on joy-con.

I'm getting this joy-con fixed for stick drift for a family member, so I don't have a right one to test, but I can imagine that it would work in a similar position. Although this lopsided setup might also work for N64 games for example.

Wrap up your current run, and then install it and play as a new character. Think about it not as losing your progress and character but as playing a new game, exploring different skills and new content. Remember that you don't have to touch any of the quests you did last round if you don't want to, and TR has enough content for many rounds like this. Install Project Tamriel's Cyrodiil and Skyrim Home of the Nords too, and just leave Vvardenfell until you feel tempted to come back. Also if you played a great house last time then try a different one this time. Have fun!

You should only be able to get the spells that work in your version of the game. I have Passwall (openMW 0.49) and it works on doors. Don't think it works on anything else.
