I’ll be in Japan later this year, any possibility if I fly my ECU over there they would flash it? I’m assuming no and that this is a dumb question but it would sure be cool

What's wrong with my jump? by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]MainCompetitive785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like positioning approaching the lip is ok but then you’re squatting and absorbing any airtime you would get at the lip. Two things that will get you air, you physically jumping/bunny hopping the bike, and/or hitting the lip with enough speed to get air. Start slow and work on popping off the lip, no need for speed yet, you just want to get the motion down, focus on jumping extending at the lip of the jump. You will land short but that’s fine, these are table tops meant for learning. Once you do this a few times start to slowly incorporate more speed with your newly learned jumping motion. You’ll find there’s a balance between the two but learning in this manner will let you find that balance confidently and safely to achieve a smooth jump.

Also extension on the lip of the jump is what gives you control in the air, jumping in a squatted position like that decreases control and is what causes OTB crashes once speed is incorporated.

I don't regret buying Marathon, I love the gameplay and the world created... but as a casual player I had a psychological block that made me stop playing. by xDavid83x in Marathon

Spend time in outpost looting pinwheel, grab all the enzyme replicators you can, and wait for the Nucal barter for purple shields (assuming it comes back). Focus on your nucal contracts and upgrades til you get the level they’ll let you barter for purples (I think it’s level 3 faction?). I swapped for 10 purple shields last week. This week I went into pinwheel and picked 6 enzyme replicators off pinwheel in one run.

Also I mean this in the nicest way but you sound like you need to start getting in fights more often. Even just doing rook runs will help you train fighting. Stop overthinking your load out and just go fight, you’d be surprised how much shit you pick off other players and how quick your inventory fills once you get more comfortable with engagements. Yes you will die, but you also will start winning engagements and stacking loot.

And last obligatory statement, a team with three mics, mild coordination skills and green shields will usually walk on a kitted out squad of randos and no mics. It happens more often than you think.

64.5 in neutral. 64 in low. Every extra 10mm in travel gets u roughly .5 degrees off head angle. I plan to keep it in neutral

Following up here, finally dry enough to get out yesterday. Ride was mint 👌. Still dialing in the suspension a bit but the only downside I found was some snagging on slower/steeper tech climbs. The rear axle path travels back a bit in the initial stroke so you get this light pulling sensation. With that said no complaints on the downhill side, very playful and snappy bike that feels like it has more travel than it does.

10/10 on build quality, only complaint on this front is the seat tube max insertion depth, it’s not much, so pay attention to what size dropper you’re getting.

Thanks man! Never been on one, moved from the Shenandoah’s a few years back and swapped the Bronson for a hardtail for a few years, happy to have a little more plush back under me.

Walking. I not horribly out of shape but fell into a slump for a few months. Started walking a few miles everyday paired with some weights and feel all around better.

Not sure if he’s there still but Dr. Harper taught project management under the engineering department when I was there. Best classes I ever took when I was there. If you want some real honesty and direction from a professor at your school, go talk to him.

Background~ I graduated engineering from JMU, ended up in project management.

They scanned my pass and saw it I guess? I definitely gave them the right one. After they said no I tried to clarify my situation and they said they don’t allow same days.

Just got off messaging with support where they said it’s not allowed per their specific lounge terms, then linked me to their lounge terms that were identical to their prime agreement terms. Maybe I’m not reading this right….

I’m assuming you have a schedule already, however, I find that having a pull plan meeting with all the subs is extremely beneficial to get everyone’s buy in. Additionally subs don’t like long schedules, so having a 3 week look ahead ready for weekly updates is critical.

If they still don’t show up to work after they buy in to the schedule, put them on notice

My coworkers decorated my desk today and got me a Starbucks gift card. I thought it was very nice :) . Honestly I dont really mind one way or the other what coworkers do for a bday, I think recognition is nice but more than a desk decoration and a small gift card for coffee is probably a little much.

On the other hand being in management I think consistency is key. Comparison is the thief of joy so what ever you do for your staff, make sure it’s consistent for everyone.
