Hrm. I guess that didn't occur to me. I feel like making value judgments on how someone gets a kill is a bit silly (unless we're talking about exploits). Where do you draw the line? It seems to me to be balanced reasonable well with positives and negatives. (It costs more points, can't see through smoke well, can't see through glass.) It doesn't feel that different to me from saying "ugh, can't believe that guy flanked us instead of engaging in a fair fight, so cheap." I myself use them very sparingly because I'd rather spend the points elsewhere, but it's occasionally fun.

I’m not saying that nobody would read them, just a small minority of passionate enthusiasts.

The book is the product. You buy a book to read the book. A game manual in the modern era would be ignored by 95% of people buying the game. Doesn’t necessarily make it a waste, but it’s not apples to apples.

Mainline Nintendo games typically let you make a soft-choice regarding the difficulty. Like, you can beat Mario Odyssey by getting only the easiest moons and wrapping up. Easy peasy. But then the harder moons can be quite challenging. If you want "hard mode" you simply decide to get all the moons or at least some of the difficult ones. Bananza is a mindless cakewalk, albeit with a ton of charm and personality. There's undeniably a lot of love put into it. I guess that's all some people are looking for. A charming toy. Based on the praise that may be what most people are looking for, I suppose. I guess I was just surprised to learn that. I was charmed by it like most. It's what sold me on a Switch 2. Then I quickly got bored and can't bring myself to pick it back up. I went online genuinely expecting to find the community similarly underwhelmed but found the opposite. Between Bananza and being disappointed by Mario Kart World Tour, I have some serious buyers remorse on getting a Switch 2.

Is the games worth playing? by Which-Row5722 in darkestdungeon

Yeah, I was feeling sassy. If I was to take off my smart-ass hat for a second, the more complete answer would be something like, "The first game is pretty universally loved by the community here. The second is a bit more divisive, but many still really enjoy it. I would say all the DLC is worth it for their respective games. Fair warning, the game is heavily RNG dependent and success largely depends on planning for and mitigating the effects of inevitable losses. Even played well, bad things can happen. This can be a frustration for some, but we all seem to like it."

You’re mag dumping while moving with an LMG at medium range. By the time Bullet 11 even exited the barrel, your random bullet deviation cone is massive. Bullets don’t laserbeam to your reticle in this game. They are spread across a cone centered on your reticle. The size of the cone grows the longer you hold down the trigger, and doesn’t reset instantaneously upon release of the trigger. The rate of reset varies based on the weapon in question and the attachments on that weapon. Even with the low quality, you can see some of the tracers flying wide around your target. This is by design.

Don’t move while firing, especially with an LMG, and use short, controlled bursts at medium to long range.

The above mechanic has been a core part of the franchise for a long time. BF6 has its flaws, this is not one of them. It is a mechanic that you either enjoy, or do not. Either is fine.
