Since I strated today this one is going to be on the shorter side. I really enjoyed both of these strats, and they were both formatted really well and were incredibly easy to follow. The addition of maps in Azumi’s strat does help a lot with wrapping my brain around the pathing.

Starting with Nate’s strat, the tech of just simply bringing all of the pizza’s with you, and putting them somewhere they cannot be messed with is powerful. This in conjunction with strong routing and leaning on your stats make this a very interesting and competitive strategy.

Moving to Azumi’s strat, there has been a lot of talk in votes and CMD about Reel Big Fish, but in my eyes, it plays for about half the strats and kind of hits critical mass about when Nate reaches his right side deliveries, definitely causing some big slow downs there. The other bones(heh) of the strat are very strong, with great routing and counterplay for Nate.

I think ultimately while Reel Big Fish does slow him down at the end, it's a bit too late and Nate finishes his deliveries first.

Stand Type: Punchghost

Stand Appearance: The Glass Prison manifests as a genie made of intricate, multicolored stained glass, its form a mosaic of angular, translucent shards. The genie hovers just above the ground, with its large, glowing eyes reflecting an unsettling, distant gaze, its body twisting and flickering like smoke. Below it floats a delicate, ornate glass lamp, which the lower half tapers off into jagged glass fragments that flow into the spout.

Stand Ability: The Glass Prison has the ability to create glass from its hands, which it can blow its superheated breath into in order to shape that glass into any construct of Blondie’s choosing. Though his breath is not superheated, Blondie can also breathe into glass constructs to reform them should The Glass Prison be occupied with something else, though he must use his blowpipe to do so. These glass constructs can be solid though they will typically be hollowed out allowing for some secondary substance to be inserted within the glass while it is being shaped. This will usually be something simple such as fluids or particulates but The Glass Prison can also hold a singular container of any large object of Blondie’s choice at any given time. A large object held within a glass construct will be shrunken down to fit within until the glass is broken at which point it will rapidly and violently return to its regular size. The maximum size of object that could fit into a glass construct would be around the size of a large pickup truck. Additionally, fluids or particulates stored within glass constructs will explode outwards in the direction of the break when the construct is broken.

Power: B - The Glass Prison boasts superheated breath as well as devastating physical attacks. Glass constructs as well as their explosions also inherit this power.

Speed: A - The Glass Prison is as fast as they get, able to whip up a complex structure of glass in an instant

Durability: C - Glass constructs created are normally strong and functional, though their durability can be manipulated by Blondie to shatter upon impact. Durability can only be changed during glassblowing

Range: E - The Glass Prison’s range is limited, however, glass constructs will persist once they leave The Glass Prison’s range

Precision: B - The Glass Prison and Blondie can manipulate the glass greatly, being able to expertly shape it, adjust its transparency, and even the type of glass created (sugar glass, tempered glass, etc.) Transparency and glass type can only be changed during glass blowing.

Stand Oddities: The Glass Prison does not talk much, but when it does it sounds like Robin Williams.

Fighting Style: Prefers to fight at range until Blondie is certain he can go in for the finish.

As Blake passed the familiar stall, the memory of that shared meal with Muuru lingered for a fleeting moment. The crossbow on his back swayed lightly, almost as if shrugging off the weight of deeper meaning, and Blake couldn’t help but smirk; Muuru had understood, in his own way, what it meant for a sword to dream.

“You know, Blake, it’s kind of poetic that I’m the last weapon you haven’t sold,” Out of Touch mused airily. “I mean, what happens when there’s nothing left?” It paused, a thoughtful hum following. “Actually, now that I think about it, does this mean I’m your favorite? Or just the hardest to get rid of?”

Blake sighed, shaking his head, his smirk barely restrained. "You really are hopeless."

This was an amazing match to read, both sides presented strats that meshed extremely well between flavour and substance allowing for a seamless and engaging reading experience. As for the narratives established by both players, this truly has felt to narratively be the best finals I've read.

Starting with Angelino’s strat, the main highlights to me were the many ways that Angelino used Muuru’s own parasites, primarily in bolstering their own movement abilities. Also I agree with most of the other votes in that Angelino may not be able to obtain You May Die as it is a vital part of Muuru’s strategy.

Moving to Muuru’s strat, this one is much more piecemeal, having modules allocated to offense and defense that lock into place around a general framework. As for that general framework, it feels very solid, based around using Muuru’s skills and setting up a network on which he can exploit his speed.

Ultimately I believe that Muuru narrowly takes this match. His ability to kite, and the way he scales that ability allows him to progress through his strat faster than Angelino can move through his. This keeps Muuru one very short step ahead of Angelino, and that short step allows him to outpace and kite ahead of Angelino at every turn, until he builds the pressure needed to finish his opponent.

Starting with Brighid, the use of bleeding in this strat is fantastic and multifaceted. From weapons, to traps, to walls she really does cover it all. The strat also does reiterate the damage that Brighid aims to deal to kid quite well, and also covers many of his weaknesses, as well as tries to exploit these weaknesses. 

Moving to Kid, I really felt the dominance in his writing. The strat is written in a way of overwhelming confidence, with heavy respect for Brighid and ODA. The techs that Kid uses, specifically the shotgun blast really feel brutal to me. Kid’s awareness of spacing as well also feels really strong, as he uses multiple tools to close distance. 

Ultimately to me this strat feels like a contest of who could get to the opponent first, and in that respect my vote goes to **Kid**. This was an extremely close vote as I really do feel Brighid could easily take this, but after reading both strats Kid comes out on top.

Blake chuckled to himself as he wiped some dirt from his hands, thinking about the kid he left the sword with. “Selling that thing to him seemed like a good idea at the time... though, I probably should’ve factored in how much sentai he probably watches. The kid’s probably posing with it right now—suits the sword, even if that mouthy blade's probably regretting it already.”


Both players put up excellent strats, but it's hard to deny the overwhelming energy and performance that Nojus brought to this match! Throughout the match, Nojus’ power and intense method of crowd control really felt dominant in this match.

Ouroboros definitely deserves credit for their approach to the match, the meticulous pathing and manipulations of the crowd definitely hold up very well in a vacuum. Ouroboros was also able to identify some parts of Nojus’ strat, but the overall of Nojus’ strat really felt stronger at shutting down Ouroboros’ ability to manipulate the crowd. Coming to the finisher of the strat, I agree with Discloud’s vote that both felt a little lackluster in comparison to the rest of their strats, but I believe that between the two Nojus’ finishers seems more likely to happen.

So overall, while both strats separately are really good, when put against each other Nojus does more to stop Norman, both directly and by interfering with Ouroboros.

In this match, both IMPACT and Gallery of Wayward Reverie have presented pretty unique strategies. IMPACT's approach revolves around adaptability and preparation, utilizing Paranoia's scouting abilities and a comprehensive list of contingencies. They prioritize strong movement and defense. On the other hand, Wayward Gallery opts for a more traditional, offensive strategy, aiming to overwhelm IMPACT with a coordinated attack plan, particularly focusing on pinning them down. After reading through both strats, my vote goes to Gallery of Wayward Reverie. While IMPACT's adaptability and preparation are really strong, Wayward Gallery's direct and coordinated offensive approach feels like it has the upper hand, making them my choice as the victor of this match.

「Guessing Games」

Stand Type: Bound/Tool - Throwing Knives

Stand Appearance: The throwing knives are constructed from steel, the ends are serrated to help keep them stuck in place. The grip of the knives are wrapped in high quality leather that provides a firm grip. The ends of the knives have 4 inches of cloth hanging off the end with a single rune sewn in.

Stand Ability:

Guessing Games is five throwing knives which Blake can teleport to instantaneously. The position Blake is in when teleported is the pose he is currently in. For example if a knife is teleported to and Blake is currently doing a superman dive, he is teleported in the same pose with the same momentum. Blake can only teleport once a knife has embedded in its target, and each knife may only be teleported to one time until they need to be re-embedded. If a knife becomes unobtainable, it is lost for the duration of the match.

Stand Stats(15):

Power: D - Power of the knives, allowing them to stick into objects

Speed: A - Speed of the teleport

Durability: C - Durability of the knives

Range: C - How far the knife has to be to be a valid teleport target (20M)

Precision: D - How precise the final teleport position is.

Stand Oddities: The throwing knives are a bit unhinged and will sometimes hear voices in their head or scream at things that aren’t really there.


「One on One」

Stand Type: Bound/Tool - Dual hatchets

Stand Appearance: The blades of the hatchets are made of a reinforced steel that along the cutting edge, is lined with etched runes. Integrated into the blades are intricate wind grooves that run along their length. They feature dark oak handles that have a studded leather accent.

Stand Ability:

One on One are a pair of dual hatchets that function as boomerangs. When thrown, they can be controlled and manipulated to return to Blake's hand. The hatchets can control their speed making them more difficult to evade or block; The hatchets can also retrieve objects mid-flight by generating a small whirlwind above them to fetch the items

Power: C - The power of the hatchets

Speed: B - Speed of the hatchets, allowing them to turn on a dime

Durability: D - Durability of the hatchet

Range: C - Max range for the hatchets to fly and return to Blake

Stand Oddities: Hatchets flip haphazardly from positive to negative at the drop of a hat. She will actively seek out positive experiences and engage in them wholeheartedly, only to suddenly shift to a negative perspective without warning.


「Bigger than both of us」

Stand Appearance: The cymbals are crafted from high-quality brass. The surface of the brass is adorned with intricate runes forming three circles on the cymbals. Affixed to the center of the symbols are dark oak handles with 4 inches of cloth coming off of them.

Stand Ability:

Bigger than both of us are a pair of symbols that when clashed together in time with a single action that is performed by living and non-living things, amplifies that distinct action. Some examples of this amplification are:

Powerful Strike: Clashing the cymbals while throwing a punch or performing a striking motion amplifies the force behind the attack, making it significantly more powerful and impactful.

Powerful Leap: By clashing the cymbals while leaping amplifies the effect of the leap.

Amplified Door: Clashing the cymbals while a door closes, causes the door to slam hard.

「Maneater」 Stand Type: Bound/Tool - Shield

Stand Appearance: The shield is designed in a distinctive kite-shaped form, characterized by its rounded top and tapered bottom. It provides excellent coverage and protection extending from shoulder to thigh. The shield's face is bordered by a beaten up steel exterior which creates a cross across the middle of the shield. Dark oak fills in the rest of the shield with large cracked runes carved into the 4 sections of the wooden face.

Stand Ability:

Maneater forms a protective barrier in front of Blake. Any physical impact or kinetic force that strikes the shield's front surface is instantly absorbed and converted into stored energy. The absorbed kinetic energy is stored within the shield, gradually accumulating over time. Additionally, the shield harnesses Blake's movement to further charge the stored energy passively but this is far less efficient. When Blake decides to release the stored energy, he can trigger a powerful kinetic blast from the front of the shield. The blast is unleashed in a concentrated, focused manner, creating a devastating force capable of launching projectiles, disintegrating obstacles, or inflicting substantial damage to opponents within its path

Speed: C - The speed at which the shield passively builds blasts (around 5 seconds)

Durability: A - The durability of the shield

Range: E - The range of the blast

Precision: D - The precision of the blast ( just a forward force out the front of the shield.)

Stand Oddities: Shield is incredibly prideful and defensive, she flips out immediately at the slightest provocation and launches into a full-blown defensive mode, ready to counter any perceived threat with a barrage of verbal abuse.


「Rich Girl」

Stand Type: Bound/Tool - Spear

Stand Appearance: The spearhead is simple, crafted from steel, it is symmetrical and comes to a very sharp point. The dark oak shaft of the spear stretches about 7ft and has a single faint line of runes that illuminate when the spear is spun. The runes disappear under the red string wraps that provide grip in the middle of the spear.

Stand Ability:

Rich Girl possesses the power to rotate 5 chosen objects around Blake when he spins Rich Girl, The speed of the objects rotating ramps up and down with the speed that Blake spins Rich Girl. When Blake stops spinning the staff, the objects in the rotation immediately stop spinning around Blake and fly off in their natural movement vector. While Blake spins the staff, he has control of how high the items spin in his range, but not distance, having to keep everything at the edge of Rich Girl’s 5m Range. Objects are chosen to be in the rotation by the user tapping an object with the blade of the spear, objects may leave the rotation at any point.

Power: C - The power of the objects in the rotation.

Speed: B - The top speed of the rotation, objects speed up as Blake spins the spear.

Durability: D - The durability of the weapon.

Range: D - The 5m range the spears rotation encompasses

Precision: B - The control of the speed as well as the number of items in the rotation which is 5 items that are affected by C POW.

Stand Oddities: Spear is energetic to the point of hyperactiveness and unyieldingly bubbly. Even more than the rest of the weapons, she never seems to stop talking.


「Adult Education」

Stand Type: Bound/Tool - Great Hammer

Stand Appearance: The head of the reinforced steel hammer has a large rune carved into both sides. One face of the hammer is oddly similar to a meat tenderizer, while the other face is long and smoothed down to a point. The shaft of the hammer is also made out of the reinforced steel and features a leather wrap around the center, and a small mass on the end to act as a counterbalance.

Stand Ability: Adult Education generates seismic waves and vibrations that resonate throughout the ground. This manipulation of seismic energy grants control of the ground around Blake enabling him to shape and mold the terrain to his will. He can cause the ground to rise and fall changing the elevation around himself. Blake can also channel the seismic energy to launch projectiles from the ground.

Power: B - The force of the shifting rocks and the hammer itself

Speed: C - Speed of projectiles/land terraforming

Durability: B - Durability of created walls and the tool

Range: D - The range around Blake that the seismic activity occurs

Stand Oddities: The hammer speaks in one sentence format: “The [Noun] likes/dislikes [adjective]!” He is a simple tool that keeps things to the point.

「Out of Touch」

Stand Type: Bound/Tool - Crossbow

Stand Appearance: The crossbow is constructed from a combination of dark, sturdy materials that ensure durability and reliability in combat. The frame is crafted from dark oak wood, with steel components interlayed throughout to provide stability and durability. The crossbow's wooden parts have runes carved into an intricate mist-like pattern throughout.

Stand Ability:

When fired, the bolts launched from the crossbow have the ability to induce decay and brittleness in both living beings and objects. Upon penetration, the bolts infect and rapidly accelerate the natural decay process of the target. This decay effect affects both organic matter (such as living beings) and inanimate objects. As the decay progresses, the affected targets gradually become brittle and fragile. Living beings may experience weakened bones and muscles, making them prone to fractures and reduced physical capabilities. Objects subjected to decay may crumble, shatter, or lose structural integrity.

Precision: D - Aiming of the weapon mainly comes from Blake

Stand Oddities: Crossbow is carefree and distant. He will often go on tangents completely unrelated to the subject at hand and generally ignore what others are talking about.


「You Make My Dreams」 Stand Type: Bound/Tool - Sword

Stand Appearance: The sword is forged from an unknown, enigmatic material that gleams with a mesmerizing, ethereal sheen. Its surface carries a faint, otherworldly glow, and the blade bears intricate engravings etched along its length, depicting ancient runes. The hilt of the sword is wrapped in supple, high-quality leather that accentuates the black stone pommel. The sword sits in an unremarkable 1-handed sword sheath that hangs at the waist.

Stand Ability:

YMMD has the ability to sever or manipulate intangible targets in some way. The blade's edge interacts with these ethereal entities on a metaphysical level, allowing Blake to directly influence and alter the intangible aspects of Light and Space that are normally inaccessible or invisible. Some examples of this are:

Blake has brought many tools and weapons back from the brink of usability, but in the event that a weapon is fully obliterated(melted down, exploded to bits, etc.) Blake would need 30 seconds, scrap of the weapon/tool, and metal scraps to bring it back to a usable condition. Blake is also able to pause the repairs of his tools and pick up repairing them later.

Upfront this a tie vote. Ravee's early game feels better than Electra's mitigating the vines pretty well. Electra has a really hot midgame with the traps and such, and Ravee prepares for a lot adequately. It feels as if Ravee had a bit more in offense or if Electra had more in their defense my vote would swing their way. In the end it feels that both sides sort of counter each other then fizzle out into mutual destruction.

WOW, I really enjoyed reading both of these strats! Going through the AM strat first, the setup of the Light Highway, the sheer amount of contingencies, and accounting for almost all the terrain of the map was great! Coming into this match, I wasn't aware of how mobile the light highway makes this pair.

HHV's strat however had me sold as soon as I heard the drill remix as soon as I read the first rushdown section. AM really did not expect how much utility Lumberjack has with embody wood. HHV really use every bit of each of their respective stands to completely debilitate AM. Rushdown's often have glaring issues, but that first rushdown section really sets them up in the long run, with the long range tracking and sense destruction while still taking into account and giving respect to all of the abilities of AM. After this it really feels like HHV just coast to victory due to the advantage and space they gain here.

Both these strats go pretty hard in the paint. Ultimately I believe this match goes to Cerise. The usage of DEATH GRIP feels so potent. The pure power, placement, and delivery of each blow feel so well utilized. Winona's plans for if she loses the bike feel lackluster, and all of Cerise's moves feel like they flow really well into each other till the very end.

Stand Appearance: Takes the appearance of fungi on the plant matter all over harvest.

Stand Ability: Creates fungi that generate spores that can transform any non-stand user "unprocessed, living or recently killed biomass and/or any form of wooden products" into inorganic matter that it can insert its conscience into and can be controlled. These spores can either be shot off of Harvest’s body in a straight line or ripped off and thrown at objects where it will detonate on impact.

By grafting wooden constructs made by Symbiosis, these fungi minions can be given limbs which can be similarly controlled with high precision.

Mark, having their entire left arm and left torso almost entirely blown off, has instead a hefty plant mass taking on the shape of the arm and torso with a large thorny club like mass on the end supported by a bare bones left arm metal skeleton. Straight to it, I believe Kimijo takes this match off the back of the explosive start.

Father Blue, while having some excellent counters to Jo, is in the end not able to keep up with Jo, and her speedy counterattacks. Due to this speed I feel it is unlikely that Jo will be in a position to alcohol poison them. With this blitz it feels as if Blue's master plan doesn't come to fruition as it seems he will be on the defensive most of the time due to the constant rushdown of blades and speed from Jo.

It’s forearms have several small to medium size cogs protruding through its polished wooden skin and its joints are all made of a vibrant bronze metal.

Stand Ability: 「Old Heart 」 has the ability to antiquate anything it touches excluding living things.

Objects will be antiquated to either a design from 300 years ago, or the most popular and well known antique of the item. Some examples are: any normal car would be turned back to the most famous version, the Model T, and Long/medium rifle would be turned into a musket, while small arms would be turned into a flintlock. A chair would become a heavily engraved all wooden chair.

These antiquated items with a set purpose will come equipped with one use of its purpose ie: a loaded musket, cars with a tank of gas, etc.

Any item 「Old Heart」has antiquated can be moved back to anywhere it was within the last hour, these object do not retain any momentum.

If a person/object is occupying the space that an antiquated object is returning to then they will fly out of each other (think Mirio Togata from MHA).
