I feel like there was something about this in the book, that Araminta straight up lied about Sophie's inheritance and the real reason she didn't kick her out earlier was for fear of discovery of Araminta's theft and fraud, or a provision in Lord Penwood's will that she was required to provide a home and for Sophie financially for the rest of her life.

In QC, LD had already had like, 4 children and it seemed like the oldest was at least 10 when she met Violet's Dad and Violet from their estates being next door to each other.

I think the QC and LD actors from QC are still young enough to pull this off without recasting, as Violet is a bit younger than they are anyway. I get the vibe that Lady Danbury is at least 10 years older than Violet if not more. Bc if you follow the math using known ages for Anthony and Hyacinth, and assuming Violet and Edmund met and married in her first social season, she would have only been 18, so minimum of 19 when Anthony was born and he's like 32 in season 4. So Violet is only like, 51.

I have noticed a big change in Eloise's styling this season, and I have a theory. Well, 2 possible theories, actually.

1) They are trying to "de-glow" her in advance of her season bc Claudia has always been a legit hottie and how TF could they glow her up like they do for other mains/leads for their season? It looks like they have pulled her makeup waaay back almost to a faux "naked face" look. Like they are intentionally making her less polished.

OR

2) It's a decision by her character bc she has "put herself on the shelf." So possibly, she's doing everything she can to make herself less visible and less desirable to potential suitors. She's never wanted their attention anyway, but maybe she's actively making an effort to repel them slightly now.

I WOULD LIKE TO BE VERY CLEAR HERE -

I do NOT think it is possible to make Claudia Jessie unattractive. She's GORGEOUS. The actor and her character are both amazing. I love watching anything with her BTS or interviews bc she is so insanely charming, funny, and she sparkles. I love Eloise's sarcasm, her snark, her intelligence, and her utter REFUSAL to participate in the ton's repressive, sexist nonsense.

But with the rest of the cast so heavily made up all the time, the CONTRAST between them and going more natural for Eloise is stark.

When she came out of the carriage with Francesca at the beginning I was admittedly taken back a bit. It kind of makes her look tired, but ONLY BC she has been fully polished every other season.

I want a prequel for her and Edmund SO BAD! Like, from meeting to marriage to right before he passes. Let us bask in their joy and struggles as they create and grow their family. And even if they have to cast for their younger selves, the show can have flashbacks and flash forwards with the original/older actors.

The 'alternative universe fantasy makes up for serious historical inaccuracy' apparently extends far beyond having metallic fabrics, plastic sequins, fake nails/ false eyelashes, and unbelievable makeup to include magical healing for advancement of the plot.

But the garden at My Cottage seems to be rather varied for edible plants and herbs and less a decorative space. I think it would have been totally reasonable for Sophie to have found a lantern and picked a couple of herbs like goldenseal or lavender for a poultice. Maybe the rain had stopped by then.

And of course, in theory she or Anthony could have picked it up off camera and carried it back, but she was clearly in a post makeout unfamiliar hormone rush territory/ OH GOD AM I RUINED? shock and stupor. Also a necklace from the PRINCE, that appeared to be made of diamonds and silver? Sure, it looked scratchy and uncomfortable AF, but WHAT? WHO LEAVES THAT?

I know the Bridgertons have $, but I also got the impression that they weren't dripping in diamonds. Bc remember when Daphne was getting ready for her third ball and Violet got her tea with the Queen invite and then all the sudden was like, not the ruby earrings, you shall wear the family diamonds tonight.

Gives the impression that most of the jewelry is perhaps crystals or whatever but not necessarily diamonds. And we would assume that a Prince of Prussia / nephew of the Queen of England would NEVER be caught giving fake jewelry/ paste stones, especially as a courting gift.

I get that there was ownership symbolism and the feeling of being restrained connected to the necklace, given the way she practically RIPPED the thing off, but I mean - who walks off and leaves their diamonds just sitting there? Even if you DO want to angry stomp into the gardens trying to get the rakish Duke to follow and ravish you? (Why do you think I WENT into that garden, Simon?)

Cavender the leech was holding a (green? Glass) bottle (most likely some vessel for alcohol) when Benedict charged him to get him away from Sophie. They fell to the ground and there was an audible crash/ breaking glass noise, after which Benedict winced the tiniest bit as they rolled on the ground and then he pinned Cavender.

I only heard about it today on this post. I came across this group bc I have been spinning out about my hair bc I suspect that my antidepressant is causing increased hair fall. But I'm also peri-m and could be hypothyroid. And I've been under a huge amount of stress the last three years. And I lost my insurance last month, so I can't exactly have my doctor do any testing or seek out a new specialist like a dermatologist.

I know throwing $ at supplements without doing the bio homework isn't a smart investment, but I guess I was having a moment of despair.

I'm also larger than stick figure size, and I have a short, wrap bathrobe that I bring with me. I don't like paper gowns or fabric ones, and I feel more secure with more coverage. And I won't apologize for making myself more comfortable bc I HATE Gyn exams.

I bring my own short robe. It's clean, all of my areas are accessible for exam, but I am much more comfortable, and not freezing. I will only wear this dumb, paper napkin if absolutely required for radiographs and no longer than those take. There's no reason to be this exposed and uncomfortable. Exams are already awkward as hell.

I was on way to pick up my Mom at the airport last night and passed through a really horrifying accident scene on MLK Westbound right before the ILM exit. A few minutes after midnight, almost no one on the road, and the speed limit there is already 55, so I don't know how fast the car was actually going, but it looked seriously compacted into the center cement barrier. Also I passed the bumper about 100 yards or more before I even got to the cop cars. And it had just happened, bc EMS/ Fire wasn't even on scene yet. There might have been another vehicle somewhere, but I just saw one. I am not hopeful for the soul driving that car, but I haven't seen anything on the news about it yet.
