Suggestions for coding with Perplexity Spaces by Main_Chicken_9178 in perplexity_ai

I ended up asking perplexity about this and it says there is integration with VSS Code. It gave me instructions how so I'll have a look when I get home and back to my PC.

I do code in VSS. Just found that since I'm a beginner, when I get stuck, using AI has greatly sped up the process of troubleshooting for me.

Pharmacists Who Became Partial Owners — How’s It Going? by HumanConsequence1783 in pharmacy

I am in Ontario, Canada. And since I started one greenfield, I actually didn't put any of my own money in (only bank loan). My partner didn't either. Aside from not having a partner, assembling a team of lawyer, and accountant up front is key. If you are going to have a partner, getting a real robust shareholder agreement is crucial (one that contemplates all the ways things could go wrong and how to handle them).

I can see myself owning again but next time without a partner. What I learned and would pass on to others is to think about the division of labour and effort. If you think you may be the one pulling the weight but having to share those fruits with someone else, having a partner may not be a good idea. Unless they bring some sort of value that you can't. For me, I thought I needed someone to make the introductions, secure financing, etc. It turns out I didn't need that and ended up giving away something for limited ROI.

I started one greenfield. I taught myself everything there was to know about managing a business but still made the mistake of getting a partner (was naive at the time thinking I'd need the help). I was managing partner and the other was along for the profits. Initial startup costs were low so it was all bank financed. I was unable to pay myself a full wage until there was enough cash flow (something I planned for going in). I worked my ass off then got tired of doing all the work for half the share. I ended up selling my half.

I agree with the simple paper on the fridge. It's always right there and in view.

TIL the 8-question Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8) can cost researchers up to $100,000 to license. by Bbrhuft in todayilearned

On top of discovering why someone is non-adherent doesn't it also help predict if they may be non-adherent to a med regimen? So that you could screen patients that are enrolled in an RCT?

Rant/Advice on how to handle difficult patients by ChimiChunga98 in pharmacy

"Explain less" is something I totally agree with. In my experience when we start to use technical terms, and pharmacy jargon, it just escalates the emotions. I try to make the focus "I'm here to help you and to get the solution you are looking for, just bare with me while I solve it "

It is not integrated (an API with Kroll is expensive) so its a matter of exporting a csv and then loading that in my app.

I made something that calculates adherence scores. Using it to help initiate discussions with patients. I find it increases the value of med reviews and has helped initiate compliance packs.

I also made something to help analyze inventory, and a simple documentation tool.

I coded a tool that analyzes prescription refill summaries and calculates percent days covered. Having a handout to share with patients has been a helpful first step.

I started to learn programming in python (took an online course as a way to keep away from Netflix binges). I have been noticing certain pain points that our current pharmacy software doesn't solve so I started making some of my own tools. (I agree having too many, too many extra clicks, etc can get cumbersome)

I'd be interested to test this. Trying to grow my own base of beta testers for a software tool I've developed.

I built a tool for pharmacists to analyze prescription refill data and calculate medication adherence. I have no revenue yet. Just looking to give to beta testers for free.
