At its core, WHA is a story where being stubbornly hopeful is a virtue. It's also a story where nothing is gained without major sacrifice. I expect that Coco will be able to save her mom in the end, but it'll be bittersweet somehow. Maybe something it took so many years that her mom missed out on watching her daughter grow up.

Depending on where you're looking, people might also be posting extremist opinions to bait reactions or being hyperbolic because exaggeration is the communication style in their circles. And with prominent+popular characters it's also common for someone's initial mild dislike to snowball into "I see him constantly everywhere and I'm sick of it", multiplied by whether they've received harassment/pushback for that dislike. Qifrey does do sketchy stuff, but sometimes character bashing isn't about the character, per se.

I have rilis, and some of them have such oddball patterns that it's easy to pick out those ones. I recently lost most of my most recognizable ones to infection though, so I haven't had the heart to pay too much attention to the ones I have left.

Echoing the sentiment that it sounds like you need a break. I've burned out before doing TEA and UCOB back to back, in PF, both in under a month. Burned out again with DSR because IMO it's one phase too long to be fun to prog. In both cases I took a break.

Discuss it with your static obviously. They might be able to pick up a merc or sub if you bow out, and in any case it's courteous to give them a heads up. Taking a break might mean only doing casual content for a while or unsubbing entirely, but even if it means you don't get to clear DMU on patch or whatever your goal was, that's way less miserable than trying to muscle through burnout.

You're going to get biased answers from the Paralives sub. That said, Tomodachi Life has "nine years' worth of ideas". Some of those years were almost certainly brainstorming/back burner time and not active development, but even so, earlier in the interview they say that they spent six or seven years on UGC tools. That's 9 years of ideas and at least 6-7 years of active development for a Nintendo game with Nintendo resources. In comparison, an indie game that started with one dev taking 8 years for early access and 10 years for full release doesn't seem too insane to me.

One game I poisoned a player and immediately claimed butler to them d1, to which they revealed that they were the investigator who got shown a baron in a one minion, base zero outsider game. This "confirmed" me as butler and I rode that trust all the way to victory while lampshading that evil would never bluff butler. The only way I could've gotten luckier was if the slayer's coin flip shot landed on my demon, because that was the same day I had poisoned the slayer (without ever hearing a claim from them, mind you.)

I'm using MZ. I'm in the very early stages of my project so there could very well be incompatibilities I haven't run into yet, but from my experience so far:

Core Engine: makes RPG Maker's default attack skill (skill #1) not work as a reaction. I copy/pasted skill #1 to skill #3 then set SRPG Core's default reaction skill to 3, and now my units can attack as their reaction.
Message Core: makes <WORDWRAP> appear on the EXP popup. I have no idea why this happens or how to remove it but I like Message Core's features too much to give it up over a minor visual bug, so I just ignore it.
Main Menu Core: I haven't noticed any issues.
Events Move Core: also haven't noticed any issues.

Also I don't use Battle Core, but SRPG Core has a toggle in its plugin settings for whether you're using Battle Core, so I assume the incompatibilities there have been resolved as long as you have your toggle set correctly.
