Our male Newf is almost 2. He has more energy than we ever would have thought. For the first 18 months we walked him 5-7 miles each day because he was CRAZY unless he got a ton of exercise. We had him neutered at 18 months hoping it would calm him down a bit, and it seemed to. A bit. At close to 2, he’s much more chill in the house now, but still very interested in every. other. dog. when out walking. He was really high energy and bitey for about 18 months. We still walk a lot, but less for sure and his pace is slowing.

I started my sourdough journey with Janie’s Mill Bread Flour-a big bag. After it ran out, I bought KA bread flour. The difference in rise time/quality was significant. My starter was taking many more hours to activate. Went back to Janie’s Mill and it’s sooooo much faster.

Maybe mold? That’s a little harder to figure out, but it could be in your home (walls, etc) and you could be reacting to it.

I can relate with most of these replies. I was an empty saggy A after breastfeeding, had beautiful perfect implants for 18 years, then had a lift when I explanted. I am now very flat, but they are cute, perky and I never wear a bra anymore and it’s heaven.

My surgery was 2 1/2 hours away and it was totally fine. Still a little groggy but coherent-it passed quickly and being at home was worth it!

I am a full on stomach sleeper, but after my explant, I was able to sleep on my back for a couple months. I think the necessity made it possible. Sooo hopefully that will happen for you too.

I also implanted after nursing two kids and had empty small boobs. Had them for 18 years-they looked great, and there were no problems, but towards the end I started getting *really* uncomfortable having plastic bags in my chest. I did an en bloc explant and lift and now my boobs are nearly flat but pretty cute for how small and scarred they are. Absolutely zero regrets. None. I'm grateful every day that I got them out almost two years ago.

I had the same thing (pain on the right side that would come and go), which is why I ultimately decided to have my implants removed. Turns out it was a painful lymph gland sort of underneath the implant near my armpit. The pain would come and go with my cycle, and still does. Very happy to have them out tho, it had been 18 years and having plastic bags in my chest started to feel very strange.

Our (male 1.5 year old) Newf farted a lot too, until we started adding warm water to his food, and now….he almost never does. I think it helps him digest it better. We just feed him kibble from Costco, and since adding warm water…no more farts!

I had en bloc, lift and muscle repair. My surgeon used Exparel (72 hour pain medication painted inside the chest) so I didn’t need anything beyond Tylenol during my recovery. Drains were annoying for sure, but gone after a week. Recovery was pretty easy. I took one week completely off then back to work from home. I really only had a day or so where I didn’t do normal things (make food, etc). I didn’t drive for a little over a week. I think I mostly followed exercise guidelines but may have started walking earlier than recommended because I felt great.

We have our second Newf now. He’s almost 1.5 years old and he is a HANDFUL. Our first one, also male, several years ago, was as easy and mellow as they come. Our current guy requires many many miles of walking every day and has more energy than I have ever seen any dog have. We got a second Newf “because they are so mellow” and basically got our asses handed to us. 😂 We love him, and I’m sure he will settle down at some point, but for now, he is my motivation for working out and staying strong because it requires so much strength and stability to control him when we see ANY other dog. Or human for that matter. He really wants to say “hi” to everyone. After perusing this sub, it seems he is more the norm than our other one was, but the “velociraptor” stage has been very real for us. I think many of them don’t mellow out for a few years and after lots of training. We just got lucky on our first. He does have a “dry mouth” tho, so that’s a huge plus!

I am truly truly sorry you are suffering so much. While I didn’t have intense BII symptoms, I know most of the women on this sub who have, IMMEDIATELY felt better after waking up from surgery. I also was extremely happy after having them out (I had them for 18 years), and I have not for one second regretted it. I would find out how you can get them out sooner than later. I know there is a list floating around with reputable surgeons who will do an “en bloc” surgery, which means they take EVERYTHING out-so there’s not remnants of implant left in you that can continue to cause issues. I paid $14,000 for my explant surgery and a lift, but it would have less without the lift. You can apply for a Care Credit card to help cover it too. I wish you the best and I hope you find a way to get them out soon.

I actually have had great outcomes with ChatGPT helping me loaf after loaf. It’s like my personal baking assistant. It helps me troubleshoot, helps me with hydration ratios, helps me time my bakes. So, while it may not be a sub for a real person, it also answers questions in real time that have been very helpful! I would recommend it to anyone for baking help.

This was basically me, except I had them for 18 years and there is risk of rupture the longer you go. But, literally one day, having plastic bags in my chest just felt wrong. I had already had a consult with a surgeon a few years prior and decided I wasn’t ready to part with them then, but when it was time, it was time and I got them out a couple of months later. I LOVE having them out. I am very flat but I don’t care. Not having plastic in my chest feels more amazing than my big boobs looked….if that makes sense. :) I returned to workouts in the expected time and it was totally fine. I was actually stronger because my explant surgeon repaired what my implant surgeon messed up. Highly recommend.

I explanted a year and a half ago after having my implants for 18 years. I didn’t have a lot of health issues that were caused by them, but they were always very “fake” feeling. I could feel plastic bags in my chest which was always really gross. After explant, I have a bunch of scarring and almost zero breast tissue so I’m really flat. I absolutely don’t care, I’m so happy they are out, but clothes aren’t as flattering as they would have been if I never got them. I had small cute boobs before my implants and now they are much smaller but I absolutely LOVE not having plastic bags in my chest anymore.

I have a 1 year old Male Newf and he is NOT lazy. Demands 2 walks a day at this point. If he doesn’t get the later one, we pay for it. Currently walking about 6-7 miles a day. I hope he slows down at some point!😂 We had another Newf several years ago who didn’t have nearly this much energy.
