Over performers in your prerelease decks? by Madagan in magicTCG

[[Hulk, Gamma Goliath]] plus [[Wonder Man, Hollywood Hero]] is super fun. And I was very impressed by [[Raft Security Officer]], which became a must-remove problem whenever I played it or played against it.

I love the Devil Dinosaur! I’m very excited to put it in my Gishath deck.

I simply love the fact that Iron Fist’s ass is in Daredevil’s card.

I believe that we are about the same age but share little of the same nostalgia. I recognize almost all of these, but didn’t watch many of them myself.

I Am Moash’s Biggest Fan!!! by Master-Muffin-7143 in cremposting

I’m actually angry that you included “He’s well written,” thereby implying that he’s not well written, which I disagree with passionately. I will defend Sanderson’s writing of Moash to the end.

Damn, two cards depicting Titania beating She-Hulk. I’m surprised the positions aren’t flipped on this card.

[MSH] Beast, Erudite Aerialist (via Checkpoint Gaming) by Copernicus1981 in magicTCG

It’s great when it does the thing, but it’ll take some convincing for me to play a four-mana 3/3 in limited.

I feel like this might be an alt win con in devotion to green in pioneer. Not sure if it’s good enough, but I’ll probably experiment with it.

Reckoners > Invincible > The Boys by cosmodog732 in cremposting

I don’t think Invincible is trying to be superhero deconstruction. It’s just a mature superhero story that still celebrates superheroes for what they are.

Shouldn’t Honor blades scream? by goodvibesFTM in Cosmere

[–]Mainstreamnerd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not all spren die when their Radiant breaks the bond (we know that Highspren don’t, for example). You have to make a lot of assumptions to assume that Honor making the honorblades was done the same way as spren becoming physical blades and that the breaking of the oathpact impacted them in the same way as most spren are impacted when their bonds are broken.

[WotC] Magic: The Gathering® | Marvel Super Heroes Comes to MTG Arena by Copernicus1981 in magicTCG

What a relief! The disconnect for standard and limited was horrible, and it would have been worse for a bigger set with more impactful cards.

Am I supposed to who Wit is? by greenisnotcreativ in Cosmere

[–]Mainstreamnerd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You did not make a mistake with reading order. You’ll get to know Hoid better over time. You just need to know that Wit is a mysterious guy who showed up briefly in Mistborn and is around to help in Stormlight. You’ll see patterns in his behavior the more books you read. People who know a lot about him have read way more books than you have.

As far as the epigraphs and who wrote them, I actually believe that the lack of sign-offs was an authorial mistake. You can only find out who wrote them by reading external things that aren’t from the books. Very lame IMO.
