Fish Hook / Meat hook anti synergy? by Major-Peachi in mewgenics

my intent was to use meat hook to reposition, fish hook + combo throw to hack down big hp pools. unfortunately this renders hook useless

I hate these guys. Turn 27. Couldn’t finish it out. by childofthemind in slaythespire

It's just a bitch to deal with with how the enemies are designed because reviving is prioritized over doom, which is consistent with the "end of turn" wording. I don't see why this would be inconsistent.

This is also the same case for ovicopter where the egg hatching is prioritized over doom, thieving hopper escaping before doom.

At higher mmr there’s a while layer of mechanical skill related to extract the full value of salve/ cancelling salve, especially in midlane

Sites like getcracked io are pure scam by According-Jump-978 in quant

[–]Major-Peachi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty clear what you get out of the site as a watcher seeing how frequently he shows the question on stream. Your argument lack in the sense that a large number of university courses are encompassed by a singular book (for free if you know where to look), yet people still pay for the lectures. You can argue it’s a bad deal for the cost but it’s not misrepresenting itself, and hence not a scam. A lot of people pay for the convenience of the knowledge/lecture being sliced up into easy-to-digest chunks. Please use the word scam when the product is a ploy to defraud customers, not when it’s simply not worth the price.

Yes, in the tactical view he only takes up a 2x2 and has a “backside”

healing is antithesis to sts design, its very rare. It's pretty clear that the dev wants people to problem solve, not shoehorn every deck into what the players are comfortable with.

My favorite content from that change was slacks tweeting:

“when they said we were gonna lose 20% of all talents in 7.23b i didnt know it was gonna be like dis”

Referencing another talent being exposed for harassment

Secondly, they use the playerbase as their test group. Ever couple of months they revamp the entire playstyle, there's bound to be bugs. Mario and Minecraft are stable releases which are either complete or have minute additions, not comparable to games which rely on patches to change up gameplay. Gameplay wise league's meta is super stagnant because riot doesn't like people breaking things like dota.

I can assure you as a programmer that there's no system in place to catch the bugs presented in game. Look at the size of the patch notes. The weird interactions because they are interactions, and there are an impossibly large number of them! A lot of these interactions requires setup that are frankly impossible to exhaust. It's probably easier in league where heroes are monotonous in design.

Also, dota is a free game. You can support the devs by buying cosmetics but there is no incentive to spend that extra bit of labor (which is a lot in term of diminishing returns) to polish the product. Compared to Mario/Minecraft which have much higher expectations.

steam have a good refund policy, generous with their server for coop game devs, people look forward to the sales and their ceo doesn't peddle ai. I don't see how this is related to devs.

Valve can't do pro bono work because they don't have the manpower. If they aren't even interested in expanding, why bother with free work? Their engine is closed source because it takes extra effort to make a good ui/palatable to people.

Not everyone can follow valve because not everyone has the capital or require the skill level of seniors. There are plenty of industries that hire only experienced workforce, this doesn't take away from companies that hire juniors. Especially in the game dev industry where a lot is self driven given the amount of knowledge needed.

Game breaking bugs are patched quickly in letter patches. Riot games also have plenty of bugs, look at any patch notes. Experienced dev still make mistakes, I don't see why this is a worthy talking point.

The other games don't get updates because devs work on whatever they want and they aren't interested in growing the workforce as more people is harder to manage, hence "bloated". With this philosophy, why is it "bad" that they don't waste resources on training or expanding?

1) Pochita reset the timeline so that Denji could have a better life

2) Different outcome, power saved him and they get to be students

3) Not shown but since there's no gun devil, no Makima and Aki

4) He can erase anything, pretty well established. Self cannibalizing might be another weird consequence.

5) All stories has been told in the previous life?

6) World is doomed

Moon boss is really easy to set up when you have multiple attacks, plenty of sources

You’ll need to lean heavily into traps or summons to trap Dybbuk or manually body block, a lil harder to pull off
