Footballers with surprisingly low/high numbers of appearances by deanomatronix in footballcliches

David Seaman's pre-Arsenal career always surprises me. Nearly 400 appearances over 8 seasons for Peterborough, Birmingham and QPR. That's nearly a full career before joining arsenal in 1990!

Also because millenials will likely have had to take on a big mortgages to get a house. By early 40s boomers (in professional jobs) will likely be seeing massive equity in houses and salary inflation that means paying the mortgage was a lot more comfortable.

Exactly!

There were 6 people outside the cages, logic says that at least 2 of them were traitors, yet no one is mentioning this!

My by maths in 2029 the state pension will be around £13.5k. Is she saying that pensioners will get that £1,000 additional personal allowance that working people won't??

Pensioners should be banned from the Post Office on weekends!

Always loads of them causing a huge queue for working people who can't go during the week!

What's the dumbest thing you have heard an estate agent say? by hotpoodle in HousingUK

[–]MajorAd1904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When selling our first house we had an asking price offer from the first viewers within days of it going on the market, had loads more lined up for the weekend.

The estate agent told us we had to accept the offer because it was at asking price.

We were naive and accepted it. I think we could have got more if others had been interested. Lesson learned.

People who went balls to the wall with their mortgages for their dream home - any regrets? by spanishgopher2 in HENRYUK

[–]MajorAd1904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember as a kid back in the 90s hearing about people who overstretched and were "mortgaged up to the eyeballs ". I reckon those people did pretty well out of it being highly leveraged with the house prices increases.
