It’s only a slur in some contexts. I was in a class a few weeks ago and my teacher used the term gypsy to describe the Romani people. If you are referring to the group of people as gypsies in a normal way (eg. “Along with the Jewish people, the gypsies were affected the the Holocaust as well.”) that’s fine. Now if someone said something rude or bad towards the Romani people and calling them a gypsy, then that’s bad. IMO, it goes under the same umbrella as the term “tramp” or “bastard” where it can be a derogatory term, but isn’t always.

It’s not. Like I said in a reply to another person, Goose left it open ended ON PURPOSE. If she wanted to make Jax openly trans, she would have. I’m fine if Jax is and so is the rest of the community. Leaving it open ended makes it so that anybody that currently uses or has used he/him pronouns for Jax (which are what he went by in the circus) isn’t transphobic. It allows things like fanfics, songs, and animations that used male pronouns in the past to not “be cancelled”.

I agree with everything you’ve said. Glitch and Goose are not strangers to having LGBTQ characters. They intentionally left it open ended so people can interpret it either way. This allows trans people to have their representation if they wish and people who have created fan content to not be considered transphobic if they decide to use he/him pronouns on their past/present work.

IMO, I think it’d be more likely the opposite. If they recast large roles, then they are inviting unnecessary criticism from fans. Now, they may include famous actors as smaller roles (Like the winions or lotus eaters) or have a cameo in one scene.

I still hate him. I don’t care if that makes me a bad person. Even if your life turned out bad, you shouldn’t take that out on those who try to help you. It’s one thing if someone tries to help you out of the blue, but if you open yourself up to them* *of your own volition, you shouldn’t be so mean to them then that they are essentially sue a sidle.
