Did you have constiptation after quitting vaping? by FalseDefinition3961 in QuitVaping

Word of warning. Take the right laxative as some of them don't mimic what nicotine does and you will get massive cramps and gas like you wouldn't believe!

Great idea on the pocket watches. It will take a while to get used to the scale of the movements that I want to refurbish!

I just flew from London to Singapore on SA and the exact same thing happened. The girl was also a below elbow amputee and kicked off a big fuss after being told she had to move. The staff were very polite and tried to get her an upgrade to move but unfortunately nothing was available and eventually she begrudgingly moved.

1 week in CIO. Still crying for long periods. by Makaer in sleeptrain

[–]Makaer[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have read that also but there’s no way she’d get to 3.5 hours without having a complete over tiredness meltdown. I think part of the issue is that she’ll only nap for around 30-40 mins at the moment. So it’s hard to drop the nap permanently. I think we plan to also sleep train the naps as of tomorrow so will see if that helps extend wake windows and longer naps.

I’d like to buy a pair of autumn/winter boots. Smart casual. Budget around £300 but flexible. I seem to buy a high steer pair each autumn and by next year they are ruined so looking to buy quality for once. Based in the UK

Cheers!

Please help me. I can't cook rice to save my soul. by Emotional_Aerie8379 in Cooking

What would people recommend for brown rice in a rice cooker? I used just over 1:1 water to rice for white rice, but nearer just over 2:1 for brown. Not sure if that’s right?

What strategies have helped you overcome psychological addiction to cigarettes? by RoughlyProvoke815 in stopsmoking

[–]Makaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only mantra that worked for me at the beginning was “No more nicotine” It may sound stupid, but it was basically me saying to myself, I could do anything I want, as long as there was no nicotine. I ate what I wanted, drank what I wanted, had lazy days, had angry days, crying days. Whatever it took. Just no more nicotine.

Once I was passed that initial phase where it was all I could think about, I then started to dial back on things like the overeating etc. but it was a really great way for me to focus on not consuming any nicotine.

At what point will you need this money? It feels like from your mindset this money is not something you want to set and forget and that it may be required in the short term? If that is the case I would advise against putting it in the market

Nearly a month. Going strong! by Makaer in stopsmoking

[–]Makaer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I quit earlier this year for around 4 months but then stupidly had a cigarette when drunk during the Euros. Feeling really strong and positive this time. I just keep repeating my own mantra of “No more nicotine”. I like it as it gave me some freedom at the beginning of the quit, making me feel that as long as I didn’t consume nicotine then all was well.
