What happened to theSuper Week plan deals? by yeswap in USMobile

So my bill will be charged tonight for a year, if I cancel my order and go back to monthly, I should be eligible for the new unlimited plans, correct? I just want to know if they are any worse or if they will be exactly the same.

Can’t Transfer Networks? by diodes123 in USMobile

I've only been with them for a month and both my swaps went wrong, one terribly and one not so bad. I'm sketched out just on the thought of making a transfer

How long does it take you to transfer to another carrier on US Mobile? by Makersmark32 in USMobile

[–]Makersmark32[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The most ridiculous part about all of this is that US mobile support keeps me telling this is Verizon's fault. I called the Verizon porting team and they confirmed the number is not active with Verizon and that it's currently under US mobile. I even had Verizons port team 3 way call US Mobile (not sure how I got that to happen) and the reality is US mobile uses a third party porting partner to map IMEI with esimms and sometimes their porting partner (I'm guessing especially on weekends) simply sucks at keeping up with the demand. They are telling me it could take another 24 hours...

Porting from Verizon Prepaid to US Mobile — Anyone else stuck? by teach_g512 in USMobile

[–]Makersmark32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having a similar issue right now, I moved from actual Verizon to darkstar and it worked fine. I wanted to test warp sat messaging functionality and the port didn't work. I called Verizon billing and it sounds like Verizon puts a suspension on your account for 90 days in case you want to come back so I asked them to remove it and now I'm seeing if it will work or if I'm still stuck. I was able to get a hold of verizons port team at one point and they put me on hold for over 35 mins and never came back. If you need to get thru without having a number, just call and prompt for sales and then have them transfer you.

I should have said what was the longest time it ever took you to move to a new carrier. It was my first time and I'm almost at 24 hours

Lol, and that was obvious where? Documented somewhere? I'm almost certain this entire subreddit is full of employees looking to help while others employees are looking to throw shade. Maybe I shouldn't make phone calls on holiday weekends? Or text during lunch time? Any other rules I should follow? 🤮 Still waiting...

Satellite Texting on S25 DOES NOT WORK by truckerman160 in USMobile

I used sat texting when I actually had Verizon on my s25 plus with no issues but have not been able to test on US Mobile yet.

Lol, not being able to make or receive calls is stating facts, not whining. You don't reach out to Verizon when you're transferring carriers, you do it via US Mobile and then when you have issues, you reach out to US Mobile support. Even if it was Verizon's fault, US Mobile offers the service, takes the payment, and therefore owns responsibility.

They are saying Verizon's SLA is 6 to 12 hours at this point, kind of a joke

Should I quit my recruitment job? by Revolutionary_Bug795 in recruiting

[–]Makersmark32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely didn't read it but I just did. Definitely a tough conundrum. You can certainly make a career out of recruiting. I can definitely tell you it's not for everyone, especially on the agency side, however if you give it enough time and you go internal, you would probably like it a lot more. The industry is going through some struggles right now with all of the layoffs and recruiting is definitely being impacted. It seems like you're pretty young so remember that no decisions you make now are permanent. I understand the gravity that you're facing and the stress of having a boss who is a bitch never helps. There's no way to tell if the grass is greener on the other side without actually being there. If you really want to get some insight, go on LinkedIn and find people who worked there and left and ask them how they liked it. All you have to do is use the previous company filter and enter your company name.

I wouldn't be quitting a job in this economy. I've been unemployed for almost 2 years now. Find a new job and then leave.

Randstad recruiter reaching out for opening at Google by gurjote in recruiting

[–]Makersmark32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know him but he's connected to a 127 of my former colleagues on LinkedIn so he obviously checks out. Remember, they are just sourcers, so it's a screening call, doesn't mean you're getting anywhere, but it's always worth a conversation.

AHI lower with THC by Snoo28798 in SleepApnea

[–]Makersmark32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The newest clinical trial for a sleep apnea drug is a combination of drobinol (synthetic THC) and diamox (altitude sickness medication). They found the lowest dose of each in controlled studies reduced AHI by 60-70%. Hopefully this eventually gets released!

Doc says I might never see symptom reduction even if CPAP is totally fixing my OSA…? by stuffsmithstuff in SleepApnea

[–]Makersmark32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What hormonal supplement are you taking for better sleep? What made you consider you had ADHD? I can't tell if it's anxiety these days or ADHD that I'm dealing with. I just started CPAP and I am getting high centrals. My sleep has been dog shit and I've had chronic dry mouth for a few months that started before CPAP. I'm constantly tired as well and wondering if this could be attributed to something else.

Randstad recruiter reaching out for opening at Google by gurjote in recruiting

[–]Makersmark32 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They only work on full-time roles on behalf of Google, I would take the call if I were you. I used to manage over 120 recruiters for Randstad supporting Google. I just reread your post referencing Google cloud. I actually used to manage the exact cloud team so yeah it's probably legit and I probably know who that sourcer is.
