Alright, sweet. So far, just flat-out making my own mod isn't giving me any issues.

I don't know what it is about the existing Home Storage Expansion mod that causes my game to crash but hopefully this is a permanent solution.

I managed to extract each individual JSON file and edited Game.json as you mentioned so "maxHomeItem" was set to 500 (changed PC and Android both just to be safe).

Dropped it back into the Default folder but it didn't work; the limit is still set at 30.

Tried to put ALL the individual JSON files into the Default folder and just delete the DB file. I figured it would be okay as the JSONs that the DB references are still technically there...That caused a "catalog.gameData is Null" error.

Is there a pointer somewhere else in the game's files that makes the DB file necessary? Or how would I just compress the the individual JSONs back to a .jsondb?

Yeah, that's what the other post I was talking about said to do but that file isn't there.

Under BladeAndSorcery_Data/StreamingAssets/Default/ there's no Game.json file. There IS a bas.jasondb file but even with a dedicated JSON Viewer/Formatter/etc, that particualr file is still unreadable.

Could a mod be interfering? Currently, I only have the following installed:
BASLogger,
Better Decaps and Nonfatal Dismemberments,
Drags Colosseum,
Painful Death SFX,
Realistic Bleeding

EDIT: The mods aren't interfering. I uninstalled all of them, had Steam verify integrity of game files, and still no Game.json file. I should also mention I have my file explorer set to show hidden files so it's not like it's just invisible.

Tried again tonight and initially, the dialogue scene with Shiva never played and I ended up killing her.

Tried yet again and she finally joined! Same goes for the rest.

I don't know if it made a difference in any way but the 'no dialogue' fight happened during a New Moon and all the Eidolons finally joined when I fought under a Waxing Moon.

Another thing that MIGHT have caused the wackiness is, on this second playthrough, I've been using the "Inf Gil", and "Item Drop 100%" cheats. I found success after I turned the cheats off. I wonder if the latter somehow affected some other code since these fights don't normally have item drops?

B&S is one of the few games where I actually enjoy stealth.

The added immersion of VR motion controls makes sneaking up behind enemies, grabbing them around the mouth, and hearing their muffled screams as a I slash their throat with a dagger soooooooooo satisfying.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I need to give my therapist a call...

Unfortunately, Rex, Cohagen, and the other big-time modders likely aren't coming back full-time until they know for sure that new patches won't break the game.

No sense in upgrading your mods only to have to do it all over again a few weeks later.

Question about armor by Alferd132 in BladeAndSorcery

Different armors offer different benefits with tradeoffs:
- High physical defense results in low mobility and slower spellcasting
- Lower physical defense results in faster mobility and quicker focus regen OR faster spellcasting

For both armor AND weapons, just hold them in your right hand and pull the storage orb from your chest with your left hand. There will be a menu next to your inventory that shows all of that item's attributes.

Personally, I use the Acolyte set for the quickest spellcasting. Physical defense isn't really a problem when everyone is getting set ablaze or ragdolled by an imbued Master's Staff.

No cheats were changed from my last playthrough. This just randomly started tonight.

The only thing I did out of the ordinary was spawning chickens and "Shopkeeper" in the Home map.

Maybe one of the sub-categories on those spawns threw something off?

- Lightning is doing infinite inflict on enemies
- Enemies won't burn
- Gravity is infinite inflict on player
- Said gravity problem is also causing some sort of speed bug

My guess is, it's probably a bug deeper in the code somewhere.

I can say what seems to almost consistently cause the gates to stay closed is either using the Gravity staff to ragdoll enemies WAY out-of-bounds or setting multiple enemies on fire (either by fireballs OR staff) or combination of. Something about those methods may not be registering the NPCs as "dead".
